Iam battleing lamotta77 to a Whole Lotta Love Solo Challenge. Vote for who you think did the best.

On my track, I'am playing everything exept Drums and Bass, Iam doing the Chords,Riff, and Solo. I've tried my best to get the original Tone of the song, and I've been learning pages style and etc.

Download my track here http://www.badongo.com/file/4377520 it's a Wav.

Thanks for the battle lamotta! :yourock:

Alrighty, here is mine. I recorded this as a whole cover awhile back and this is just the solo from that. I'm using the actual track as a backer with all of Jimmy Page's solo removed and my own in it's place.

Thanks for the battle, Ibanez, and good luck to you. :thumb:

I hate these things :) Ok ... I'm going for Lamotta, tho I have a strong suspicion that he did not actually remove Jimmy's solo  :notme:
Great work on your backer Ibanez User, and a real good solo too. You both would have kicked my ass!!

Ibanez here for me boys ...

Just seemed to get the playing vibe closer.

Can't fault the playing skills on either pieces and you've both obviously studied and executed it well. Lamotta's tone seemed nearer to JP's than Ibby's too ... but the delay repeats spoiled it for me a bit ... seemed to muddy it up, whereas Ibbys, despite having a tad too much gain for 'authenticity' (if that was the goal), came through much clearer.

Good battle guys .. can't wait to see the outcome :boobies:

Thanks Spasm, Ah for the solo tone, I pupusly made it distorted. Cause when hearing it, jimmy page's tone, to me sounds very high and bright, with distortion. So I tried to get as close as I chould. But it sounds like you've done alot of page listening in your times lol.

But for playing yeah, I agree you can tell that me and lomotta have really researched jimmy page's guitar playing and tones and etc. I think as fans, we both did a great job so good thing I don't got to vote in this one... it whould be pretty hard to choose lol.

Thanks alot....;)

I liked ibanez tone here better I think, but I still gotta vote for lamotta cause I think he had a little bit better timing and the solo flowed a bit better. Still, kickass job by both of ya. Both great tributes to Jimmy Page and his guitar playing!

I liked the flavors and the approaches. I have it at a tie. If I had to lean a little, it would be to Ibanez. Just easier to hear because it was less verby. But I did like that effect and within the song, it would sound cool. Great job guys.
Two thumbs up. :thumb: :thumb:

LMFAO! I never would have thought of a battle for a, what, 5 sec soloing? haha! anyways. Sorry Lamotta, I´m sure you played it accurately but man, that verb sounds SOO FAKE!! Went with Ibanez, ya got the tone pretty well nailed plus I´m sure Jimmy himself wouldn´t play the same lines all the time, and yours sure sounded zeppy to me.
