First go here www.utorrent.com and download and install the software .
Next forget about it .
Next decide what you want ,Software/ Film/Music/Porn:bitchslap: :bitchslap:
and scribble your needs into Google , example :
Cubase sx 3 torrent , or Debbie does Dallas Torrent , notice how i add the word *Torrent* at the end .
Ok when you follow your links and you click on *download torrent* , that software i told you to install and forget about will open up and take over the download for you .
Its that easy . I have put a link to an excellent torrent file search engine in *fileshare* . called Torrent Harvester it scans lots of different torrent web sites and puts the results in a list . neat , just like p2p software .

:dunno: Is there not a significant risk of potentially downloading vruses or other such nasties this way?

There's no more risk using torrents than downloading other ways. If you're careful enough you'll be fine. Use a firewall and AV and keep them updated. Scan everything you download before opening it. The real risk these days is getting nailed by the RIAA for piracy. That is becoming more and more likely. Best defense against that is Peer Guardian:) Like everything on the net, there's some risk. If you're smart about it and protect yourself, you'll be fine:thumb:
