Hear yee, hear yee... the results of the first ever Guitarblast "Don't Drop the Ball" jam. This is a truly challenging jam approach. Basically what we did was take volunteers upfront for the tasks below. Wah Wah, in postion 1, had the job of creating a drum piece that could be deemed the back drop to a full original song....... and he could have done it in any style, fashion he wanted. Could have been Jazz, Funk, Rock, Mayan Log drums... No limits. He then passed his track on to me as the coordinator and the next in line. It's done completely blind, meaning... no suggestions from Wah, no tips on signatures or ideas he had while writing the drums. From there GT777 had the task of writing all the rhythm guitar parts, making sure they had all the elements of a full original song, solely but what he heard and felt without collaboration/discussion with the other participants. So at this point, you basically get the jist of how the rest went.

I simply cannot say enough about how well this came out. It's just off the charts in my mind, knowing the approach we took and how unorthodox it is to what we all might be used to. It's basically everyone getting their turn to throw paint to a canvas and hopefully have something people will dig. I really think you will more than just dig this piece, it's iPod worthy and "telling a friend, check this out" worthy.
