I'm getting really hacked off with Mr Gates right now. NOTHING works properly on this OS! I installed Nero 7 and it didn't like it so thanks to POD GOD, got hold of Nero 8 which (allegedly) does. But will Vista let me uninstall Nero 7? Will it hell. So Google the dilemma and find a Nero Removal Tool. Now we're getting somehwere...NOPE! Doesn't work. This is so stupid to release something that 3/4 of the planet will be forced to buy but ISN'T FIT FOR SALE. Fuckers.

Try uninstalling it with this:thumb:

I don't know if it's vista compatible... it's a small download and worth a shot though:dunno:

This page may be helpful as well...

Not sure if this is the same tool you used but it seems to have worked for others.

It's not stupid though. If you could sell a piece of crap and force the world to buy it would you? You might be to moral an individual to defect like that but can you really call it stupid?

What really needs to happen is more people need to just stop buying it. MS is far from alone in this area...

Force people to buy it?? I don't even think so man last I looked I had a choice. There is a reason most people use Windows, simplicity. I love how all the Unix/Linux people act so superior because they can hack an open source OS while looking down on the standard user because they can't. When you can point and click to get online, check your email, plug and play your hardware with the Linux OS as easily as you can on Windows people will start using it.

Have to agree with eric here. Another reason, as a business user, is that everyone communicates using Microsoft Office documents of some sort, with the rest using PDF documents. Plus, most of the web applications only run on Internet Explorer, other applications only run on Windows, etc., etc.

I remember at various places we'd have really technically gifted people who would only have Linux installed on their machines. Then they'd grumble when people sent them Office documents they couldn't open, or grumble at how they couldn't fill in their timesheet, or how something would only run on Linux. Another annoyance would be how they would create reports and graphs using text based tools and then scratch their head when you told them that the quality just isn't good enough to go into a customer facing document.

Unfortunately, Microsoft = Monopoloy. Everyone uses it, and finds it easy to use (for the most part, don't get me started on MS Office nnoyances). If everyone moved to Linux, yes, we would be more secure, and robust, but as it's not intuitive to install, use, or customise, I can't really seeing it happening.
