Always liked this Styx tune so I decided to give it a shot today. I've gotta say it turned-out better then I thought it would. There are plenty of high notes that I knew better than attempt and there is an extra measure after the solo that kinda screws things up pretty good but I did my best with it. I did my normal midi tweak for a backer and did the guitars and vocals. Enjoy! :thumb:

"Tried it"!!??? I am "McLovin" it!! :) :thumb:
I like how you made it your own. Yes the original vocals are way high at times, but you stayed in the pocket and kept the groove real. Love your tone..especially the solo and the outro. Rock on Matt!!

You gave this a real raw edge. Styx was always real polished in the studio, but live they were much more like the style of your recording. I was kind of expecting to hear an audience in the background. Also, you worked in a lot of cool licks and riffs into the solo. Always impressed by the diversity of projects you choose too. :thumb:

This one was pretty far out of my comfort zone but I was determined to get thru it. I agree with Geordie that the BT is definately lacking. No keys of any kind. Maybe I should have layered some other guitars??
Anyway, I really appreciate all the positivity everyone, makes it easier to try the next one that's off the beaten path for me. :thumb:

your harmonys are coming along nicely. the intro was well done. tommy shaw is a tough guy to do and you did a pretty good job of covering him. guitars were excellent. personally i prefer your voice doing the heavier stuff but this was a nice change of pace and shows how versitle you are
