Geez this is in a class of it’s own fellas. Art your guitar work is as legendary as usual and these vox are amazing. This has got pretty much everything I could ask for in a rock tune, world class vox and guitar and Bonzo and Jonesy circa “Levee” holding things down too by the sound of the bass and drums here. This is max stars and a nom by all means :bowdown:

Great surprise!!! I thought it def had that Levee Breaks feel to it, so it was just natural to go with a Plant style sleaze vocaliziation....only no where near as good!!! LOL!! This was first class writing on your part Art, and i am very pleased at the results!!! I still think it should have a harmony on the chorus parts....but i leave that to your discretionary ears. Im sorry about that Naz and indeed Avalon . but i started , out of pure curiosity , putting together samples creating and time stretching a tune i had in my head , something which was very much a learning curve for me , and i was quite pleased with it . Your piece is still here and it remains my intention to use it .

Whoa! Sounds very Zeppy to me too! Kinda like that saturated killer vibe LZII album had. Listening through my headphones, sounds great, awesome playing and singing! You can tell there are lots of work in this for sure. Just two little buts (being a hard worked piece it is, and not a 3 hour fun stuff made full of beer jam like something else posted around here :notme:. First, the vox sounds real clean as opposed to the rest which is with that saturated-early zep records vibe, it would (imho of course, just throwing in my thoughts as a listener, no doubt this is YOUR personal stuff and I ain´t no one as for giving you any advices for how to mix your own stuff) be cooler to blend them both either with the "old vibe" or cleaner as a more recent recording. Second, I understand you perfectly that you preferred to sample the harp rather than have the real thing, soundwise, it sure has that kinda overdrived tube sound that Zep records have, but it (again imo) deff sounds fake....
Anyways, big 5 here, I can´t wait for the finished thing man, it sure has a REAL good vibe on it!

Woah!! Outstanding musical piece! There is just pure talent oozing from this song. Has a great groove and I love the vocal and lyrical work. An all around excellent job. I mean completely pro!! I would have guessed that was a real harmonica player too and Bonham on the drums (it very much sounds like his snare tone). If this is on the bench, my god, what is coming up? WOW!! :rock: :rock:

Thanks Uke and 3F , i take your point Uke and i will play around with that idea of yours . I might put Johns Vox through something like Ampeg svx , or a similar module and try and age it . And cheers 3f for checking this out , incidentally the tune now is slightly different as im changing little things each time i visit it . The latest is that the Bass has now been processed with Ampeg . I appreciate it gets cluttered and thats what im currently trying to sort out , but its not always a case of lifting levels , in fact im doing most mixing by eq ing , which i think is not the way to do it .:headscratch: .

Great work guys, Vocally and lyrically reminded me alot of Whitesnake, and musically alot like later Rainbow (Stranger In Us All) which i think works really well, i knew it was going to sound excelent the first time i heard it and with vocals it really is complete :)
I do second Tonys thoughts on that harp though, not because i sent a take, god no lmao, but i think Naif would really add alot more life into the part, that being said, it still does sound very good though, and the song as a whole, excellent, brilliant work guys and 5 stars :thumb:

Absolute quality track this, great rock song, they don't make them like this now do they? Only thing is it needs an ending. Great guitar playing and cool vocals too.

Definitely sounds like a lost track from Zeppelin and Whitesnake's baby or something. Lots of classic bits and pieces - a nice homage to the genre. The ending did seem a little abrupt, but that would a very minor point to an otherwise massively impressive compostion and production.

That was great, it could of fit in to the Coverdale Page album for me. :thumb:
