I thought I'd continue my rants about my computer problems in a new thread.
I've been mucking about in bios. Didnt find an option to not turn the computer off on overheat, but I found a some temperature monitoring thingy, and the temperature is stable and not too high. So it can't be an overheating problem.

But I've been googling around on the problem and found this guy with the very same problem, saying that "The problem was with the power pin connecting to the motherboard.
It was not proper, and is too hot, which caused all these problems."

If this is the issue, how do I correct it? I haven't messed about much with processors so I have a hard time knowing what is what and what to do with it :tard:

It sounds like a power supply problem.Get a new one.

what lippy said.

best if you could borrow/try a different psu to make sure the prob is not on the mobo.

If it's the power supply, it's the easiest thing in the world to change. If it's the motherboard, you would most likely have to take out all your cards, disconnect everything, remove and reinstall processor, and your in for the longest part of a PC repair. Hope it's the power supply. They don't cost much, but get one with ample power. PC Power and Cooling makes excellent power supplies as well as the Antec True Power Series.

But like Slicer above said, if you can test before you buy or at least have a return period of 14 days or so even if opened, that would be what I would change first. Good luck Naif. Let us know how you do.

Yeah that sounds like the power supply. Like Serg said, it's an easy fix... easier and much cheaper than a motherboard :)

Also consider the power switch , i have had one go on me . Sometimes you can get a new case with psu ( go for 400 watt min ) quite cheap .
