I've been following the NHL for over ten years now and still hoping for a new Stanley Cup win for the Pens. Oh how I miss Jagr on the wing with Lemieux in the center, but we have a pretty good team this year and then of course Crosby. Hopefully things will pick up this season. The opening went just as when I play on Playstation, losing against Carolina and Eric Staal wrecking havoc. lol

The pens have a great young team. I have no doubt in my mind that they'll win the cup within the next 5 years. Crosby, Malkin, Staal... shit who needs Lemieux, lol.

Yep, watched that last night. Nice comeback by the Pens. Sid the kid is starting to come around and get some points. I like the new goalie they have too, but where's Fleury?:headscratch:

I believe Fleury is still the starting goalie for the Pens, not sure why he didn't play their last game. I think and hope this season will bring out more talent than ever and really up NHL' status again after a few difficult years with the lockdown and everything.

The Leafs are having their troubles as usual, lol. They have the highest paid defence in the NHL and are sitting near the bottom of the pack in goals against. This is not good when you play in the largest hockey market in the world. MaCabe has been taunted by fans and the media for his recent screwups (including scoring the game winner on his own net!) but really, I put the majority of the blame on Kubina. That guy is not worth 5 million a season... worst deal the Leafs have made in years!!! Also, we have two big name goalies(Raycroft & Toskola) who should be battling each other for the starting spot... but instead, they are sucking ass! I sure hope things turn around soon.

On the bright side, the offense has been great. Sundin is having another great start, Blake is fitting in well and Anthropov and Stajan have been a pleasant surprise. Now, if they can fix the defensive side of things... they may have a good team in the playoffs. If they don't, they won't make it there:)

There's so much young talent in the NHL right now it's crazy. Those who aren't watching, are missing out!

The Wild have an awesome team this year. No real big stars, just a well rounded, well disciplined and coached team. Their defensive style can be a bit boring at times. They really shut down their opponents. They're the only team that hasn't lost in regulation time this year and may go all the way... definitely a team to watch!
