Here's StereoPhonys first Colab of Maybe Tomorrow by the Stereophonics. Stereophony did the vocal track and the solo's. He did a great job on the tune and IMO he is an asset to GuitarBlast. I made up the backer for him and did the mixing. I'm looking forward to doing more colabs with him in the near future. It was a blast doing this tune! Ya did a great job man!:D

Cheers Johnny!!!!
This is one of my favourite tracks from my favourite band, i was originally gonna do an acoustic version but Bulletman gave me the confidence to tackle the full track. Im sure you'll agree his backer and mixing are fantastic. I had an absolute blast doing this and I hope some of you enjoy listening!!!!:thumb:

Oh yeah! GREAT stuff guys! :yourock: Hey Stereophony, ya got a real pleasant vox man, and Johnny, my man, what to say, everything yas touch, musicallywise that is (ahem, LMAO!) is great man! Man you sure mix shit so good! Flawess guitar playing and tone there man. Were the drums fixed with the drum machine? Looks like it. And Stereophony, what kind of mic are you using? Doesn´t sound like a condenser, any elcheapo one will sound much better man, but the prime material is in there for sure!
Big 5´vers here! :wavey:

GT, I used Synthfont for the Drums and Bass plus some tweaks on the old Sonar4.,...the rest of it was real. I did all the guitars accept for the mid to end solo's Sterophony did those and he did a great job! Thanks for the comps!! You're a rockin MoFo!!

Macman, GT777, Uke and Solitude. Thanks for dropping by to listen and for the cool comment guys. :yourock: Much appreciated.
Uke, the mic is a SE 2200A condenser through a Tapco Link audio interface. Its the first time ive ever recorded vox so i don't know much about it, i basically plugged in check my levels and sang it. Any hints on anything to do with vox recording would be much appreciated.:thumb:

I have never heard the tune, but is sure sounded nice. You do have a great vocal quality SP!! Very nice job! Very nice solo. Really nice mix. Had a great vibe to it. I really enjoyed it.
(you asked about recording vocals? I would just use a tad bit of compression. It's the most important element I can imagine using). Also, I could almost hear some very light harmonies in the background. Perhaps bring those up a notch. It could have been guitar, but it was a nice addition and very complementary. Welcome SP. Bulletman is a great choice to colab with.
Lastly, how in the heck did you get that pig avatar rocking in perfect time to the tune???? :) :thumb:
Awesome mix - sounds very, very professional. The guitar solo was uniquely voiced - almost like a Sling Shot joint. The vocals are good, but could have a little more presence in the mix. Overall, amazing piece of work and very cool song choice.

Thanks man! Yes, I agree about the vocal track. Needs more compression and the background vocal needs to come up some. That's my fault for being to much in a rush and having to many projects going at once! Oh well, it does sound pretty good though! Thanks again!!
I don't know how the avatar does it but it's also in time with my tune Patience Pills that is up in the Originals thread. Take a listen to it a watch the avatar!,..pretty funny!

Thanks 3fingers, for your very kind comments. To be honest I wasn't expecting such a cool response for my vocals as its the first time ive ever recorded my own voice. It makes it all worthwhile in the end to get comments and critiques for that matter from such a bunch of talented people. As I said in my first post Johnny gave me a lot of confidence, and he had done such a great job on his parts i did not want to let him down in anyway. So to say i was apprehensive about this is an understatement! :yourock:
Didn't you know that Johnny gets his avatar from pigmetronomes.com, he sets it rocking to record his rhythm track. Ive just ordered a blue one! (hee hee).

Thanks ksdb for stopping by to listen and comment. The wah effect on the solo was something that i wanted to keep in, i dont have a wahwah pedal but wanted it to have the effect to keep it close to the original.:thumb:

Hey Steve, glad you got to listen to this with it being a tune from the Welsh boys, we are few and far between mate. Also good timing on bringing this back up. I went to see them live on Tuesday night at Nottingham Arena. Full on rock show, no acoustic in sight!!! ( Saying thay you may not even like them lol)
Anyhow, thanks for your listening and your comments, they are always appreciated! And isnt Johnnys backer the nuts??? Ive scrawled you tube etc for anything this good and havent found it! Doubt i will either,. Ni:bowdown: ce one!

Good collab this one !
I know the original. Only thing I would say is that you sound like you're a little nervous in the vocals, it being your first time and everything, but that will get more natural the more you post, and that's just me being nit-picky. I'm just encouraging you to post more and to say you have nothing to be nervous about !
Can't fault the production or anything on this one really. A really good job and enjoyable listen. Great song, by a good band, well covered.
