I did this cover with Thrascan2000 a couple of months ago, but I never came around to post it here because I think there was a Sandman cover here already.
This time I used a backer that included vocals so I just had to add all the guitar parts. I didn't spend time nailing the Hammett stuff so there is some improv stuff on the solo.

EXCELLENT cover Netrom ... LOVED it!!

Super-poweful guitar sound there ... maybe even a tad 'too'-powerful (heh!).

If it were me, I'd have cut back on the gain a little to get a bit more clarity and crispness when muting and choking off the notes or chords and double-tracked the guitars it to bring back the beef in the sound ... that's just me though and doesn't detract at all from this awesome post!!

It's a real big guitar sound for sure. The performance is spot on, with fills where necessary. Seemed like you had just enough of Hammet's solo to get the essence and then give the rest your own twist. Rockin' post!!

My favorite from Metallica , certainly ticks all the metal boxes a real kick ass in yer gut sound . Bloody monster this is .GREAT! :thumb:

Hands down....one of the top 5 covers I have heard here....and there have been so many many excellent covers on this site but this was exceptional. From the drum mix to clean and dirty guitars, this had it all. Vocals were great too.

Yup, ditto that, lol. I think that was us. This one's a monster though. Very, very well done. This might be one of the best Metallica covers I've heard on here. TopJimmy needs to chime in, he's the resident expert.
