That's a real nice piece Mac, though it's not a style I normally rave about. Nice sensitive leadwork near the end too. Musical, rather than "look what I can do". Can tell you play for the song.

Sorry to hear about the band btw - saw Brian's letter on Riffs last week.
This sounds fantastic P:thumb:

Strange mix of styles , country folk rock , but i do like it . I reckon you had about 10 tracks on this on Mac ? lol , your getting proficient :yourock: , and it shows in this . The tune sounds full and melodic .The solo reminds me of Rory Gallagher , also i like the tone on your vox , sounds like you ran it through the Lexicon doubler .
Hey nice work Mac , your best yet

yeah you nailed the lexicon Art!..i learnt from the master eh!..lol!..the track was sparse really!..1 acoustic,1 electric,1 bass, a simple drum track & 1 lead vocal! (only 1 backing vox 3/4 of the way thru!)..2 lead geetar tracks.....8 tracks of whack!..in the words of Mick Ronson "less is more!"...The sound card you prescribed is absolutely faultless for £40 off ebay!..The acoustic was put direct into the card without mic'ing it up & sounds quite good eh?..the new soundcard does everything..phono..DI..midi..digital..line ins / outs its the bollox... & the vocal sound has gone up sky high & clear!....Terratec DMX6 ..i praise thee!....The solo is nothing like the original..i didthanx for enjoying it!

Step on out Mac! Love to hear these tunes you post!
I love the way the electric and the acoustic intertwine. Adds a great deal to the mix. And your harmonies really sound good. Lead is luscious (both slide and non-slide). Bass sounds tight and crisp! I'm going to have to check this guy out. He's Swedish no? :thumb: :thumb: Yee-haa!! :)

Thanks everyone for your kind replies!..Sergio...you're right Flamman is Swedish..his album "Suprising sun" is a great album full of simple pop/americana type stuff..he played guitar for Francis Dunnery on his recent tour so he mixes in the right circles!..Its most probably the most "Live" recording i've ever done...using only the programmed drums...i've loads of other stuff i wanna attempt but my drum programming is absolutely piss poor!:dunno: ..i'll have to second it out to some of the boffins on here!..LOL!..thanx for listening y'all!
