I'm really sure where to start with this one... It's my first made backing track ever. I played all instruments. Drums, keys, guitar and bass guitar. I'm not a drummer or a keyboard player and i don't consider myself a great guitar player by any means. Needless to say i'm very happy with this.. It sorta marks a milestone if you know what i mean...

Ok, enough blabbering.

I hope you guys enjoy it. I asked my buddy yzerman to sing this one and he was a little nervous about this one at first. In the end it was nothing a few beers couldn't fix.. :)

I wasnt sure if i could get this one out the way i wanted it to sound vocally. But as Aitch mentioned a few beers and some retakes later it turned out. Always a pleasure Aitch!.

The backing sounds really good, but it's the guitar and the vocals that really shine. Lovely guitar sound.
As Ukelele said, you really captured that old sound in a great way.

First let me just say im voting for this tune to be the Mp3 of the month . I know its not perfect but its got a real quality to it , gorgeous percussion , authentic 60s playing and tones ( even the whammy chord) , and then the voice is just the icing on the cake , even fades out like a record:thumb: . Top marks guys , very enjoyable and worthy of a medal .:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Thanks bluesplayer, SG Std, JPF!!

I agree it's not perfect or completely accurate to the original. Though I had a great time making it and the vocals really were the icing on the cake here. I appreciate the nomination!! That's much more than than I expected for feedback on this!!

Thanks guys!! :yourock:

like robbie i too was around in the 50's and 60's. my older drothers and sisters played this stuff all the time. this is just fantastic how you captured the essence of that era. sock hops and fast cars and all.

very real and authentic sounding! It's really cool that you played all the instruments! The vocals fit this tune very well and I love that classic tone on the guitar. All it's missing is the sound of the needle hitting the vinyl just before it starts! Class post!

Great idea.. Wish I would have thought of that before I posted it here. I might just do it anyway for my own keep!!

Thanks again all!!
