You mean he is a musician? God, can't remember the last time I saw him without a meaningless blurb in NOTW and now he sings?!?! Kinks ripoff is what I heard.

Couldn't give a fuck mate! It's all ripped off these days! It's still a good song though. I've heard a lot worse metal/rock

Which Kink's song does it sound like? I'd be interested to compare.
The verse sounds a bit like "All day and all of the night" but I would say its more *in the style of* rather than a direct ripoff. The Jam used the bassline of The Beatles Taxman for Start and I don't think that makes Weller any less talented. There's been plenty of drug-addled, model-shagging musicians who we've wanted to punch in the last 40 years. Does it make their songs shit?

Yeah, I wonder what Ray Davis thinks about this. Of course nowadays music lasts just the same as toiletpaper. I hate it when people make money redoing-rethinking what others have already baked years ago. Make that Oasis, Black Crowes, hell even Led Zep if you dig a bit..... For some guys it works, after all recycling has been a real money maker ever since............ ELVIS!!!!!!:yourock:

Well for me it says it all when i read the thread title "I know he's a junkie knobhead" and i straight away thought Pete Doherty  , if he was much good, he'd be known for his music imo, not by what he does in his spare time (unless drugs are his day job).
Just how i see it though.
