OK... so before we start: I can't sing (or even manage vaguely metal shouty vocal), and the guitar parts were well beyond me!

If that doesn't you off clicking the link don't say you weren't warned ;) .... I will probably have another go at this one at a later date.

Take the vocals out, or at least cut the volume on them, and work on making your leads cleaner and you'll be sounding much better. Half the time you can't even hear the music under the vocals they are sos loud.

work continues on making my leads cleaner everyday, but there's still a loooooooooooong way to go I realise!

Thanks for the advice on the levels when I revisit this I will make sure for the next time there is a more appropriate mix (which probably mean dropping my singing all together ;) )

This is a challenging A7X fold to sing and on guitar. I give you props for doing it and posting it up. I did this one a while back myself and had to flub the solo somewhat. :notme:

I did it, since there was a challenge on another forum about posting songs about drugs, and I'd fancied having a go at covering this for a while - but it wasn't long before I realized I was way out of my depth!

Still I learned a fair bit in the process, and I don't have enough shame to cover up my tracks :), and I'm going to continue plugging at it (one day I shall nail it ;) )

with the vocals slightly less "prominent" than they were previously, now if only the mix could fix that dodgy guitar work too.... ;)

that's high tech compared to my current mic (the vocals were recorded by pluging an old pair of headphones into the in socket of my little Zoom G2.1 and singing into the left hand headphone!)
