Hi there,
Been training my little one, and managed to record her singing this in the bath. Took a bit of slicing up of audio, but as I didn't know how to filter out some of the sounds, the vocals come with the odd splashes in them too.
Recorded on my mobile phone, so apologies for the quality of the vocals.
However, without further ado, I give you, my mini-me singing Jump by Van Halen.
Vocals are all my little girl, singing over the Jump Karaoke backing track. So all instruments on this song were already on the backer. I didn't play any of them ! I just recorded my little girl singing in the bath and then spent a labour of love slicing up and lining up the audio and running it through various filters to try and clean it up.
I hope that you enjoy it. Please go easy on her, as she is only 2.

Now thats one of the most precious things i've heard in a long while!! LOL!! My wife and i sat here just LOVING every minute of this Dave!! I'll tell ya, you get her going like this now, and there will be no stopping her!!!! Truly a very cool thing to do this for us to enjoy!! And just like most British performers, you can't even detect an accent when she's singing!! LOL!!! 5***** for being just so damn cute!!!!:thumb:

Thanx for all the listens and feedback guys.

Bloody hell. How many years have I been posting on these forums, and not once have I got a 5 star rating with one of my own covers. Little munchkin has 30 years on me and storms straight to a 5 star with her first post.
:brickwall:
JPF, cheers mate. I musta listened to it about 100 times so far. Really pleased with how it turned out, especially as I didn't think that it was going to be possible at one point.
Pod God, well, the wife tells me she is now singing the song of her own accord during the day without prompting, so I am getting there slowly. :thumb:
HansHolz, the wife tells me that Roth is nowhere near as talented as our little gem here. I think House Of Pain would have been a little too disturbing !
VanMan2000: You probably stand more chance of a collab with my little girl than you do with me at this rate. But something like this where I don't have to actually play anything is an ideal collab for me !
Cheers Kai, thought you would get a kick out of it.
Yup Naif, very proud, and pleased that I didn't manage to mess it up !
Cheers for the rating, solitude.
Bahamut - what do you mean, before long ? She plucks the open strings and it sounds better than anything I can pull out of the guitar ! :brickwall:
slicer, I'll try her on anything that steers away from the Take That route her mother is keen on leading her down !
Cheers rick. At least this version had the backer playing in the right key, unlike a certain band touring in the U.S. at the moment.
Cheers Spasm. This is ammunition to embarass the poor girl out of any relationships until she turns 40. Hey, I'm paying for the wedding, I need to save up !
Cheers Avalon. Like I say, I must have liistened to it a zillion times so far !
No worries, GT777. I thought you lot might get a kick out of it.
Yeah, wahwah mate. Jump seemed to be the most innocent choice. Not sure a 2 year old tackling Hot For Teacher would come out right. I did try her with Led Zeppelin's Rock 'N' Roll, but we get to "let Me Get It Back", and she says, "Can we sing Thomas", and the next line then becomes, "They're two, they're four, they're six, they're eight....", which to many on here would be a blasphemous version ! Ah, the insertion of random words in this version is probably down to Daddy not knowing the lyrics right, more than her. :notme:
Janelle, yeah. Very proud of her, definitely. But I am a little bit biased. :D
Thanx once again for all the listens guys. Means a lot to a proud Daddy like myself. I can only thank you from her, as she is sleeping right now. If awake she would probably say, "Can we find Mr. Tumble ?" But that's because I'm on the computer and she thinks it's sole use is to play this game (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/somethingspecial/games/dressup.shtml).
But she really means to thank you all, honest !!!

This is awesome and awesomely cute. As a new father with an 8-month-old baby girl, I can relate!! I've always heard DLR and Eddie act like babies. Might as well listen to the real deal!

Hi there,
Just wanted to say thanx to the rest of you once again.
SteveG, hope the rest of your family enjoy it, my family and friends have all adored it so far. Yep, I have it on CD, on my phone, everywhere !
Cheers, SG Std. I don't rock, but she does on this one. She still prefers dancing to Take That though. :mad1:
Glad you enjoyed it, 3fingers. The wife wants me to record her singing Shine (Take That) but that will have to go on the back burner for a while... :wtf:
ksdb - get her recording. Earlier you start, earlier she will get that recording contract and the earlier you can retire off her income... :toothless:
macman - She already is, but then, that's her Daddy speaking, eh ?

Brilliant, hang on to that mate.
I recorded my daughter when she was about 3 singing to T.Rex, just with a little tape recorder. I joined bits together so there's about 15mins worth. She's 21 now and its great to listen to when looking back through photo's. I mislaid the tape for years but found it when she was about 19.
They make great memories:)
Mondy she is a natural! This is by far the most adorable thing i have ever heard.I just wand to grab her and squeeze her so tight. What an angel.:)

Cheers peeps. Just put this as a link in the thread for Dlynn so she could hear my little one, wasn't trying to bump it once again.
But thanks for the comments, they are appreciated, and I still love this version of the tune and listen to it a lot.

Hey great cover, better than anything I can post!! Sounds like your daughter is well on her way to stardom!! I especially like the splashing water in the background. I heard Laurie laughing back in the den, and she called me in to listen, we loved it!!

So super awesome! Bump, I mean Jump!
Brilliant!!! I'm not sure what is more cool....the whole idea to put this together using clips from the bath tub? The production job you did on splicing it all together? Or the fact that your little girl knows all the words to Jump!!!!!! I'd have to say the latter!!! Knowing you, your love for your little girl and your love for Eddie Van Halen, I could not imagine anything that would make you more of a proud dad! I easily give you 5 "dummies" for this one! :)
