Up for listening.....Judas Priest "Metal Gods" Bigrockjamie came up with the idea of doing this so,..I took it on! Bigrockjamie did all the vocals on this and I put together the backer for him. He has an awesome voice and when it comes to singing Rob Halford,.. well...he nailed it IMO. I used Midi drums that I tweaked up. Everything else is real. I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I did putting it togerther for Bigrockjamie!! Thanks bro for an awesome tune!

I am quite a Preist fan, and this sounded just fine to my ears. Very Boblike vox and the guitars were spot on too. Enjoyed my listen lots, 5 here!

Very cool! Been way too few Priest covers on here lately!
Powerful guitars, great to hear a real bass and the drums sound killer for being midi drums. And the vocals are really great.
I think it sounds a lot like Tim Owens actually. But then again, I guess he is known for sounding like Rob Halford :p

Thanks bro. I tried to capture an 80s feel with the guitar tones. I used a Les Paul jr panned about 70% left and a Les Paul standard panned 70% right into my V-Amp pro. I had alot of fun with this one,..because I haven't played any metal for about 15 years!
Thanks again man!

I know this is Johnny's post but I just got to wade in and thank everyone too for the great comments on our cover of this classic. I'm extremely flattered by all the positive comments posted about my vocals. Also, a big thank you to you Johnny for doing all the great guitar and bass work and putting the backing together. Can't beat that "Brit Hi-Gain" model can ya??!! Wonderfully powerful guitars. Can I hear sparkly clean undertones mixed in beneath the cookin' Marshall roar - did you close-mic the strings to give it an extra bite?- or is it just my ears?
Sounds GREAT Johnny and BRJ :thumb:

Captain! Man!!??,..you got great ears bro! I can't believe you heard that. Anyway,..what I did was record my Les Paul Jr (single P90) with a touch of gain on a Brit High Gian setting without any effects and my Les Paul Standard on a all out Brit High Gian setting with Chorus. I think Slash does this too. Not sure,..but I think I read something about this one time!
Well,..thank you for the nice comps!
