Beautiful GW ... never heard the original version by Yngweenie, but this excellently performed piece, with such crystal clear execution of those notes and bends really conjured up a lot of melancholy emotions. Touched a nerve in me there mate.

Hay thanks for having a listen Captian Spasm and for me the song just evokes (sadness) are (grief) to me rather than the (depression) witch would be the (extreme) I suppose with a climactic ending of (hope) climbing to the top of the mountain which would be the fret board in this case Hahah.

Beautiful song though and thanks for having a listen.:thumb:

Hay thanks for having a listen GT777.

And for the comments, I used four split stereo channels keys about 30% left and 30% right guitars hard left hard right V-amp pro brit classic gain 50 % up bass 60 % mid 50% up treb 75% I think I could have eased up a bit on the treb.

Yngwie sig pedal ,rocktron (hush the pedal) Boss DD-6 Digital Delay level at 50 % feedback at 20% time 475 I think I used the 300 ms marker and then for the end I used the warp setting running into a Roland vs-840 using the number four setting 3D delay out of the Roland digital monster cable to my creative sound card digital in.

Guitar yjm sig pickup mid position on the guitar and a Godin free way classic
that I reset my intonation on perfect pitch now.

And I think the success to this track was the clarity of the backing track makes a big difference along with no other instruments in the mix so less sound made it possible for better clarity for the guitar.

And sure I would be glad to share the BT it's a great one to jam too the name is misspelled I got it that way and haven't had time to change it Hahah enjoy take care..

Great go mate, it's a lovely peice. Worth mentioning it was written by Thomaso Albinoni, not Yngwie. Yngwie did do a great job of transposing it to electric guitar and using it superbly in a peice in which he did write large quantities of beautifully melodic content though.

You did a sterling job with it, I have nabbed the backing and feel inspired (by your effort) to have a go at this one myself.

I have been flicking back and fro between this and Danny's take on it. Both blinding versions but very different, which I find interesting as you are plainly both huge fans. Good job its not a battle  Dunno which way I would go, not vote probably :) I am going to have to track down the original to satisfy my curiosity now. Great job man, very impressed!

Jeez Steve, didn't that mysic sheep teach you anything ?. It isn't a competition . Hey, I would be happy to hook yo up with the "original", you'll find that this Adagio is but a small portion of the whole track. The track is possibly Yngwie's finest hour in many ways. Let me know if you want it :).
