Can anyone help me with a problem I have regarding a game for my son? I downloaded it as Image Files (ISO's) and I have Daemon Tools to mount it as a drive. Only problem is that it's not one BUT 5 image files. So I mounted the first one and the .exe started and I used the supplied serial no. Everything looking good but then it asks for the data cab 3 file which I can see but how do I put it so the PC can open it and read it? It seems to be in a winrar file in one of the ISO's but it says no data? I have been trying with various versions of this game for ages for my son but no luck sofar. What am I doing wrong? Which one of the ISO's should be mounted??? I thought obviously no.1 but it keeps asking for this game data cab 3? Any ideas? I bunrt the images onto a DVD to try but couldn't get past this data cab 3 thing. I was hoping it would hunt it down on the DVD but it seems to be 'hidden in the ISO. :(

When you burnt the ISO to the DVD what did it look like when you popped the DVD into the drive. Did the DVD just contain the ISO on it, or did it contain the files inside the ISO when you looked at the DVDs contents ?

I suspect you need to burn the ISO image to the DVD. That way, you'll have DVDs full of the files contained in the ISOs. Then you'll be able to use the DVDs and play the games.

But I've been known to be wrong before.

if its 5 image files chris, did u mount disc2 with the cab file on it when asked?

sounds like disc1 is loader with .exe, and the other discs just .cab files with data.

jim.

Hi guys....it's Star Wars Battle Front II...I mounted the first one and it started fine but then when it asks for the other files, do I have to unmount no.1 and mount no.2 cos I think I tried that and it wanted to restart the install program. It's Daemon Tools BTW.

Hi mate
I burnt all the ISO files to a DVD and started to install that way but then it came up wanting the rest of the files.

Brilliant mate! That's the thread I couldn't locate...since Demonoid went under it's difficult to file stuff as the torrents on offer are a lot more randon. Thanks for finding this, i'll try it out. :thumb:
