Tone is oh so close! It's sounds great and does sound like you had fun. I always wanted to try this one myself. Your licks are really close as well. In his style for sure! :thumb: :thumb:

Thanks bro. I don't want to copy others but I did a few things the same. The tune was pretty much recorded dry. Strat on right channel, Les Paul on left just like the original. HAHAHAHA! First lead is Strat, second is Les Paul. Like the original also.

damn we have some talent on this board;)
I really really enjoyed this one, man you nailed all the pinch harmonics on that final solo...I bet you grew a long beard with the amount of takes you had to do to get this so perfect:toothless:

Thanks! I had wanted to do this tune for a few weeks. Kept on thinking how I wanted to do it. Like the Trower stuff, I try to do my homework and dial in tones. This one I had an option. Billy uses a Telecaster. I decided to use my Strat rather than my tele because of hum issues. My Strat is sheilded and I love the neck. Since I use pehistoric recording software, I had to find a way to record on both channels by themselves. I kept overlaying tracks. Not too many just a couple. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I really didn't think I would be able to pull it off.

I agree. I thought about doing it the original way, but I thought..it would be cool to do it alittle different. I'm sure Billy has done it several different ways in all these years.

Billy used a Tele? I did not know that. I knew it had that single coil thing in it, but if it's a Tele he used, I want to start stalking one!!! :) Listening again while tying...yep. I love your tone man!!
