Hi Y'all,
just writing to say that i went to see Squeeze live @ the city hall Newcastle England on 30th November just gone..They were absolutely first class!..it was myself & my wife 34th Squeeze concert!..but the best ever!..the night went like this......
We found out it was a sell out...The only tickets left were restricted views behind the mixer @ £35 each!
We got sat behind the mixing lads & couldnt see the stage..Bummer!
When the band came on..everybody stood up!
We then stood up & had the best seats/sound in the hall!..get in!
I noticed the desk had a PC & monitor built in with line 6 effects!..watching the lads apply the effects & so on & hearing it make a difference....Class!
4 songs from the end the tour manager turned around asked my wife & i if we'd like to go backstage & meet squeeze!..Of Course!
He gave us laminated backstage VIP passes!..oh wow!
We waited 10 mins after the show & entered the dressing room to be greeted by Glenn Tilbrook & Chris Difford who gave us both beer & wine as we walked in..They both signed my set list from the mixer given to me by one of the lads..heaven!
Really nice people & John Bentley on bass as well
I knew Chris thru his association with my friend Francis dunnery who produced his last album...but that aside ..a great gig & really genuine people
WHAT A NIGHT!
