A video I finished up last night improvising some Hendrix. It was also a sort of test for a new overdrive pedal I got, the Trex Dr swamp, which Im loving! The vocals are work in progress so kinda rough at the moment.

Enjoy the trip:

Great tone there! Sounds like a mix between Hendrix and SRV when they do this tune. Some great playing in there as usual too! :thumb:

Guitaring as usual...amazing. What a tone!!.... this reminds me of the version that's on the soundtrack for Black Hawk Down (which I think tonally is a better version than Hendrix) I dunno who did that version.

But also the video editing is WICKED. What software did you use for all the fade in and outs from screen to screen? Did you have two cameras on you at the same time too or is that just clever editing from 2 sessions?

Hey thanks heaps for the great comments Naifuzan, HansHolz, SteveG, Johhny, pod god... and you made it to Elmo! Im inpressed. Elmo will be very happy. He's locked up in the dungeon right now though while Im at work.

I used Ulead video studio. Its kinda basic but easy as all hell. I copied a couple of clips and zoomed in on them as an overlay and used several video filters for the transition effects. I also use Adobe premiere sometimes but Ulead is so quick and easy and it renders faster.

Cheers!

Excellent playing, could have listened to that all night.
The video was entertaining with the transitions, especially the black and white change at the beginning. Loved it.
All the best mate*****:thumb:

GREAT version!!

Never heard Voodoo Chile played with harmonic minor scale before ... Jimi, OR Stevie. Very inventive and dig the 'bubbling under' dialogue too.

Elmo ...

Loved it :thumb:

A great way to start off the day here in rainy Sweden. I like the tone! Way cool playing all around. A "real" singer would be nice though... :notme:

Awesome vidoe editing also.

agreed...no matter how hard I try I can never sing like I want to or how I hear things in my head...

I should try some collab's with people who can sing more often :)
