It's a pretty blue one...i can make a broach out of it...it's wonderful.!!!

(nah...seriously..I have a few: 1 Marshall 2203 1980 100 watter, 1 74 Marshall JMP 100 watter, 2 4x12 cabs (one with original Celestion G12H@ 55hz), a 65 Fender Princeton Reverb, and a hand made Giller 5 watt Plexi, plus the PodXt. It's nice stuff but tube amps imo are an instrument in themselves. Very touch sensitive in a nice way. Pods and the like are great for recording...but I would not give up the valves unless I really, really had to).

I love Line 6. The Flextone III is a great sounding, versatile amp.

I used to own a Duoverb but I sold it to finance other equipment purchases. If I find another one for cheap on Ebay I'll grab it.

well as i get older and the clubs we play at are smaller the stacks had to go. i had a 1974 100wt marshall and a 1980 jcm8oo. in all the years i had them i never had any problems at all with them. i sold them both after a long cry and got a marshall valvesatate vs100 combo. i liked it but after the 2nd time of it quitting in the middle of a gig i had to turn it into a practice amp. i then bought a blue 30th anniversary marshall combo that was an incredable amp but it was sort of buggy too. it is sitting in an anvil case collecting dust and value. i'm sorry but the newer marshall stuff is a bunch of non-roadworthy crap. then i discovered the v-amps. i play through a v-ampire combo with 1-12in speaker. i run it direct in to the p.a system. i do all the programming on my pc . i copy the patches on a v-amp2 that i carry along as a spare and haven't had to use it in almost 2 years. sorry marshall but you have been replaced by behringer. i would love to try a flextone someday but for now i love the v-ampire

Yeah im pretty much the same as you Eamon, the V-amp 2 does pretty much everything:woot:
Only thing i can't quite get is a Satch/Vai setting from it, i can get it sounding pretty good but not as good as my Blackmore/Malmsteen/Morse settings:mad1:
Mind you its still a great unit, plus with my new custom guitar, i can do alot with it.
My latest addiction is to the clean channels, with my neck pup , it sounds as clear as you can get without actually owning a acoustic, i might have to try it on a acoustic track, see how it sounds lol:toothless:
If i have to get anything else, it will be a PodXt i think:p

man some of you guys are loaded with quality stuff huh lol. I have a humble Marshall MG50dfx. But to be frank all it does it act like a big 12" speaker sending out the tone i get from the combination of the Digitech RP100, BOSS SD1. Fender Strat and My Fingers lol. I do use the reverb though. Nice enough amp though. Gets loud enough for sure. Which was the point at the time of me getting it.

We got our prototype 50 watts amp back some days ago, that and my Hiwatt plus the my soon to be retubed AC-15 clone are my faves, guess I just like Britsh styled amps the best.

Behringer GMX 212 V-Amp
B-52 AT-100 running through the AT-412A Slant

My friend gave me an acoustic amp a while back...
From the "Esteban" guitar pack, as advertised on televsion...
It sounds ridiculous, yes...
But, suprisingly enough, it doesn't sound half bad for an acoustic amp... it's got pretty deep reverb on it... which is cool... I mean... it was free... haha...

Thanks,
TheThrown

Nowt special...just amps I use for tuition; I wouldn't gig with them.

a Line6 Spider 100w 2 x 12
a Behringer 15w bass amp (gritty little mutha it is!)
a Marshall MDFX 30w
Line6 PODxt
Behringer Bass V-Amp Pro Rack thingummyjig

If I was gonna buy a valve amp these days, I'd prolly look for a Peavey Classic 4 x 10 or a similar Fender...both strip wallpaper from 30 yards!

I'm using an old ADA MP-2, in combination with a Mesa Boogie 20/20 power amp. I also use the MP-2 direct into the sound card. It isn't a modeler, but has speaker compensation. It friggen RAWKS.

I have used and have many modeling type apps. I have the Digitech RP100, and RP400, a Line6 Pod Pro XT rackmount, and 2 Korg units, the Pandora, and the Ampworks. The Korgs sound decent actually. The clean tones are the best I've ever heard from a modeler of any sort, or price.

I got the ADA after giving up on most of the above. Ironnically, the one that worked the best was the cheapest. I managed to get some really good tones out of the RP100.

But none of them can touch tubes....

:D

I have a Marshall AVT20 which is a nice singe channel amp, don't use it as much as I should.

I have a Roland Red Microcube that I jam through all the time. I should try recording with that it is on my to do list.

I use the COSM effects for modelling on my Boss BR600 multitrack recorder and I have a Digitech RP250 for recording with also.

I think Like Bahamut I may like to add a POD XT to my recording Arsenal in the near future.

My amps are as follows:

A Music Man HD130 - all tube

And a Peavey Musician. (Transistor - but it cranks!)

With 2 Music Man 115RH speaker cabs.

What I like to do is use both amps in stereo - one on the left side powering one speaker cab and one on the right with the other amp and cab. It makes for a huge wall of sound live.

Hi peeps :)

Amps are currently Crate V30H, best head I've owned! Jansen Bassman 50 (fender clone) and a Peavey Delta Blues (15" speaker version of a Classic 30, with trem). The heads run through a Marshall 4x12, nothing special. Also I have one of the small pignose amps for messing around outside with - pretty loud for its size!

Pod XT for late night practice.

Oh YEH!

I used to have the 1x12 combo version of this exact amp. Nice and compact for home, small gigs (still bloody heavy tho'!). I also used to sit it on top of and use it to drive my Behringer 400W 4x12 stereo slope-front cab as well ... yeh ... freakin' LOUD alright!!

Sold it when I gave up hope of ever playing live again, but kept the 4x12 (luckily) ... now I AM playing live again and I drive the 4x12 with either a Sound City MkIV L120, or Valvestate AVT275 combo - both in turn driven by a Vamp Pro thru' the front end .... sounds AWESOME .... AND LOUD.

I have no amp at the moment , not been in a band and shit . But my favourite amp from recent years was the HH 2X12 Valvesound combo .

I used it as a vehicle to to power my Zoom , and it was quite simply perfect . Its clean channel was very *Clean*:headscratch: , but it had that something extra i cannot put a finger on .

When it blew i was pissed right off .:maddance:
