Hi all
Not been posting for a long while, been converting my garage and turning it into a studio, and its finished. :)
I'm planning on doing loads of tracks and I'm hoping I can ask Geordie If he would be interested in hekping with the vocals, but also woukd like to do some collabs with a few guys on here.
Got some original tracks coming aswell.

Well its been a while but I thought I would post this to get my posting head on again.
Well Some of you already no I was a Drummer 1st and a guitarist second so I thought I would slap this up for something different.

Im knocking out a drum track for a Skin Cover of which myself and Slob will be doing, using a Roland HD1 attached to PC via midi using EZdrummer.

Studio Drum track (http://soundclick.com/share?vid=44954&bid=507325)

Cheers m8 :)

Been very busy with work and converting my garage for the studio, being a carpenter I have done all the work myself so it took alot of my spare time, and my guitar etc. took a step back for a while, relegated to just practicing an hour here and there.

Mind you after the hammering I got on guitar wars mainly by yourself lol
which was well deserved I might add  :yourock:
It seemed like a good time to get the garage sorted, as with the kit even though its very compact, didn't have the room, so i'm glad its all sorted and I'm rearing to go :)

ye bring em on m8, I'm always interested wether on midi form or mp3 not a problem.
I use EZdrummer & I no you use it aswell so you can even choose the drum sound :)

by the way, Happy new year to all on guitar blast.

Nice to hear you got it sorted mate...I've taken a backseat from Guitar Wars as I got my ass whooped too many times...licking my wounds! Yeah, I'd be interested in doing some stuff with REAL drums. I use EZD myself and doing some stuff at the moment with Hans Holz who has a good way with it. I'll have a think and get back to you.

Say hello to Slob from me as well...it's an age since I saw his name anywhere.

Make it something tough m8 :) something that would be near impossible to do via sequencing, something with racks of feel and balls :)

unison playing kind of stuff aswell, needing awesome timing etc. from all.
something to get ye teeth into :)

I would love one of them electronic kits to mess with. Cant afford one, kids would trash it and cant play 'em anyway, but fun :)

Weeellllll, I was thinking of doing a Bullet For My Valentine song called '4 Words To Choke Upon' ...you heard it? I'd have to ask SC350 to do the vocals mind cos they are INDUSTRIAL!

Hey bulldog! I listened to this a few times man,..and you rip it up bro! Nice kit ya have there for sure!! I just got a real cheap kit just to learn the drums...I got an ION with the extra pads. It does sound pretty cool for what it is. Can I ask what the kit you play cost? Keep on smackin man,..you're very good. Oh yeah what is the song your playing to? Also,..one more thing thank you for doing that Priest tune for me. I haven't got around to putting it together but I will for sure!

One day if your not busy,..would ya want to colab on a Life Of Agony tune! Kickin band man. Saw these guys with Ozzy about 10 years ago or so! but,..they rip! If ya wanna do one,..PM me...!

Its a Roland HD1, around £600, Website here!! (http://www.roland.co.uk/drum_room_catdet.asp?id=HD1)I have always been a bit dubious about electronic kits, always playing acoustic kits for years hitting a pad didn't appeal to me.
So I've placed my toe in the water with this kit and I must say for recording its awesome, no micing up, no huge belting drums coming from your room when headphones are on and the mesh snare feels like a real skin and reacts in a similar way.
I will be upgrading to a Roland TD 12 or even a TD 20 which all the drums have mesh heads.
Also looking at the Yamaha kits, now I have been impressed by this kit.
The only trouble with the Roland HD1 is that the pedals are built into the kit & are not as responsive as real pedals which can make it difficult to play some advanced stuff.

But its compact, sounds awesome especially with software like EZdrummer or BFD.
and it adds feel to the drum parts when played rather than sequenced, also a real drummer gives you more posabilities with no limits, which also can be done in a fraction of the time.
add this to a perfect kit sound digitally recorded you can't go wrong.

Any Kit no matter what price will add to your tracks if played in real time, and its great fun aswell :) not to mention will keep you as fit as a fiddle.

Have fun with your new kit m8
Look forward to hearing the Priest track.
