I was fortunate enough to get tickets to the NAMM show this year.(Guess I finally spent enough money at my local music store.{Not normally open to the public})
Anyway the wife and I made a weekend of it. If anyone ever has the chance to go, I highly recommend it.
I got pictures and autographs from, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Slash, Jason Bonham, Tommy Lee, Dave Navarro, Paul Stanley, Cristopher Cross, Yngvie Malmsteen, and countless others, some of whom I had no idea who they were.
And as far as the gear, man every piece of gear and software etc, you can think of. Like a kid in a candy store.
The absolute highlight though, was getting tickets to the Ibanez dealer show saturday night in Long Beach. Maybe 500 people in a small club, with Joe Satriani and special guests Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman and Herman Li.
If I can find my camera back I'll post some pics.
Man, What a weekend!

Great luck with the show. I am very envious. Is this NAMM thing something that only happens in USA? Always the same location? I heard there's Winter and SUmmer versions?

Well. considering I'm lucky if I get a new set of strings each year... I doubt I'll ever get an invite:lol: Congrats man! Musta been awesome to meet so many killer guitar players. Did they do any live jams? Usually there's guys performing to showcase the gear.

Yes, The winter Namm is always in Anaheim Calif. and the summer Namm I think is in Nashville Tn. It's really just a trade show for the music industry and not normally open to the public, but I think the public can go on the last day of the show.

Somehow I missed most of the live jams but caught all the autograph signings?:headscratch: I did watch Cristopher Cross play in the Taylor booth, and Dave Navarro was playing in the Digidesign booth messing around on Protools. I wanted to watch Yngvie play at the Marshall booth but was at the other end of the place when it came time.:headscratch:

But it was all made up for seeing Satch, Gilbert, and Friedman at the after hours Ibanez party.

You should have seen Mick Mars of Motley Crue, I think him and Keith Richards have been hanging out together to much lately:eek:
