You have know idea as a huge Morse fan how good it is too see that guitar in action :D , next order i put in to Thomann i might get Steves pickups too now lol.
Steves sound is so special, the harmonics you mention in the vid are trademark Morse, and i can see you're going to have some fun with that guitar, i'd put money on it becoming your new number 1 too :)
The country side of Steve is where the single coils come into play, on Steves old Musicman it has 4 pickups, the same three as on your Y2D, then one more single coil between the neck in middle as seen here below:
http://www.thehighwaystar.com/graphics/mk7/equipment/equipment_guitars.jpg
And involves an extremely cool switching system, one of the coils can be switched in adding to the current pickup selected, or inplace of all currently selected, im not up to date on the Y2D arrangement, but if Steve is using it, i bet it has some awesome sounds in it, and i can here alot of them in you vid too :)
As you can tell im excited lol, you might of even convinced me to buy one of these in the future over a JS1000 (i'd get a trem version though to meet in the middle), im really impressed with how it sounds, and i'll definately look forward to hearing you play an entire song with it.
Again big congrats mate :thumb:

Well I've got three with locking trems and two also have D-Tuna's but I fancied a hardtail version because of the tone...more wood (less cutaway) and so far I haven't missed it. To be honest I'm really getting into the vintage trem on the Levinson Blade for Beck type slurs and I'm not using a trem agressively as much these days. :thumb:
Used it all day at school today and it just SINGS!

Very nice demo Chris, a lot more entertaining than watching this bloody anglo Italian England Team !...LOL. The Y2k guitar has such a lovely clear ringing tone, very defined even with the distortion. I'm a big fan of the MM Silouhette Specials, played one at an exhibition and loved them but unfortunately about half a grand more than I was allowed to pay (although I've seen them now for the same price as my Ibanez!). Anyways, great to see you in action again and great demo of the new axe mate.

"Mistakes by mince meat fingers ..." classic!!
Looks and sounds the biz Chris.
With that biting, but still ballsy out-of-phase tone, I think it's finally time for that "End Of The World" cover, don't you?
:thumb:
(I'd even sing it for yer ... if you dared!)

Yeah mate, this is off eBay in the USA. The speakers are Tannoy Reveals (passive) thru the PODxt and the speakers go into a TEAC (Now Tascam!) power amp I found in the shed in a box a few years ago...it's a hi-fi amp but old and crystal clear.
'End Of The World' John? I could never do the picking justice on that one...he's a fast fucjer in his early years...hell, he's a fast fucjer now an all!
Justin, I really like the look of the Silhouette too. I had my eye on one on eBay from Reading last week but chickened out. It went for about £350!!
Cheers Lippy. :thumb:

Well....it must be nice to be able to buy a new axe every couple of weeks!!!!:stick:
Looks and sounds sweet, bro!!!!! one thing that I've always missed about the modellers is the lack of sustain(which you new guitar takes care of) and not being able to get harmonic feedback!!! Can the new axe cover that as well???

Yeah, what I like is that if you move around the studio and have the volume whacked up, it gives all manner of different frequencies and not in all the obvious places either. The 'Satriani C' (beginning of 'Flying In A Blue Dream') is possible and the 9th fret on the G is another one that leaps out. :thumb:
I know you like a more traditional look Pete but the Musicman shape and 4 - 2 headstock config are now becoming classics...and it's how it plays and sounds at the end of the day matey. :thumb:
Cheers Steve...I'll pass her on! :thumb:
