I most certainly do know this one and you fellas did fantastic on this, Laf the guitarwork was excellent mate , the rhythm n lead captures JP's essence and gives the track a great all round full sound, also lovely work on the bt n mix , Sol i agree with Jam , you have a fantastic knack for singing these DT songs mate , always a joy hearing you sing on your covers but i always look forward to hearing you on the DT songs especially, fantastic vocals mate, 5 stars fellas
That reminds me i would like to try n sing some DT's stuff myself, listening to this and most of the other DT songs, i think its abit of my league range wise though lol

Na... seriously. I have amassed a fair few DT albums since listening to you guys covering them, a great band and you do them sooo well. Always a pleasure to hear Sol singing, and Lafrondes guitar skills are excellent as ever. Great backer too. 5 stars ... again :D

i love this song. wow what a nice job on it guys. loved the solos too. sol you finally recorded your vocals so it doesn't sound like an am radio to me. not to be critical of your previous covers but i was never that happy with your recording tone for your vocals. you are such a fantastic singer with such a clear voice and an incredable range. finally the tone is doing you justice. fantastic job guys:yourock:

Well this is the 1st Dream Theater tune i have heard, cover or original. After this i think i'll search out some of your other DT covers. This was great. Sol, great vocal although i thought a little low in the mix in parts too, you've got a great voice. Loved the tone and playing on the guitars from Lafronde. Really cool stuff!! :thumb:

Finally got a chance to listen to this one. This was the surprise track from Images and Words, as it initially seemed like a cheesy ballad, but on further listen, the instrumental section of this song turned this into one of DT's most brilliant compsitions IMO. You guys did a very faithful emulation with an energy that makes it feel like a concert performance. Glad that you finally got around to doing this one Sol. Guitar work is very tight. :thumb:

My absolute fav from Images and Words. Love the flow between the 5/4 and 4/4.......also dig how the lyrics "light to dark, dark to light, light to dark, dark to light" plays out against the beat. Anyway, Fantastic as usual from you two!!! Lafronde, whats to say bro, you are all things DT!!! Excellent build on the track...guitars are killer!!! And Sol, i too agree i like your vocal less microphonic sounding....and really well done job on a very difficult tune!!!

That was pretty cool guys. As always....both ruled here. I&W is my Fav. DT album. It was very cool to hear this one covered. Damn, Lafronde, your tone here was fantastic!! Really impressive. The solo, i think i hear some issues on it but nothing to care about.
Voice as always was very, very cool man.:yourock:

I wish i could do a cover like this soon.

I love this song so much I air-drum to it! BUT keep getting the 4/4, 5/4 that JP mentioned fricking wrong. Just one thing for the guitar...I think Petrucci uses a delay setting ala 'Cathedral' to get that sound in the solo...especially the very end about the 4min mark...dunno whether there's any reference to the delay settings on any of the DT or JP forums?

Great, great song and great, great cover...everything fits like a glove. Why don't DT write songs like this anymore? 5 *****
