no not more spam! I've wanted to do this for so long, its one of my favourite floyd songs and the album is usually overlooked and I think its probably one of the best, so many great songs. Not much guitar in this originally and a big sax solo, so obviously that had to go ;)

This started out life as a rather sad piano midi file, I've added live bass, guitars and vox. The drums provided by the ever great ezdrummer and me hacking them in on my midi keyboard, orchestra provided by edirol :D.

Hope you enjoy, this one usually brings a tear to my eye

Cool to see that someone else besides me keep "spamming" the board, and someone else besides me that cover obscure pink floyd songs :thumb:
It is a very overlooked album, indeed. Maybe not one of my absolute favourites, but it's a good one.
Your voice sounds very different from Roger Waters, but you still have sorta the same feeling in your delivery. I think he has a kind of desperation in his voice, that you captured.
The backer sounds really great too, and the guitar work was sizzling!

cheers naif mate, I could never recreate your stamina and sheer volume of songs though! These are just ones I've had on the go that finally got finished! Yeah I never tried to recreate Rog's voice, its a one off  but I hope I got the feeling.

A great song, love Waters lyrical writing skills...Gilmour was alive on this track as are you....great to hear you back...5 from me...

you are right, i was getting muddled up with Fletcher Memorial, still your guitarwork was very Gilmour like, and this is very nice work mate

cheers mac, I'm not sure that Gilmour even played on this one though mate - very very very tiny amount of guitar in the original - theres a big sax solo where I banged in the guitar, I hope DG would have approved :D

A brilliant song from a brilliant album and a great rendition too. I love the original with the sax, but I think your solo does ample justice as do the vocals. A big 5 ***** Great stuff mate! :thumb:

I don't recognize this, embarrassing :notme: Sounds just fine tho. And don't worry, you have a lot of posts to go in order to catch up with Naif :thumb: :D

Great rendition, had plenty to parallel to the original with just the right amount of your own. Some really neat production tid bits that really sounded excellent. Great post!

Cheers guys! Forgot I'd posted this or I'd have thanked you earlier! For me its one of the best floyd songs - even though I guess its mostly a RW song, very very little guitar input on the original and it was crying out for a guitar solo (though the original's sax solo is one of the best!)
