Well here's some good old fashioned gangsta rap like Grandma used to sing. :headscratch:
This was originally done by Ice-T on the New Jack City soundtrack, but I did Dope's version for the most part. No BT to be found so I did it all myself. I played my electric drums, did the guitars and my patented ghetto bass line (guitar dropped an octave) then did the vocals. Not alot of time went into this I just had a wild hair to do it so I did.
I'll drop the lyrics in for anyone interested as it goes pretty fast. BTW as you may have guessed there are quite a few F-bombs thru out......:notme:
So crack open a cold forty ounce and crank dis up BOYYYY-EEEEEEEE!!!

LYRICS-
This one goes out to my Guitar Blast crew
You know who the fuck you are
You all are hustlers
Hustler, word, I pull the trigger long,
Grit my teeth, and spray another sinner gone.
Got my block sewn, armored dope spot,
Last thing I sweat's some sucka punk cop.
Move like a king when I roll, hops,
You try to flex, and bang, another brutha drops.
You gotta deal with this cause there's no way out, why?
Cash money ain't never gonna play out.
I got nothin to losemuch to gain,
and In my brain, ...I got a capitalist migraine.
I gotta get paid to-night, you muthafuckin right.
Check my grip, check my bitch, keep my game tight.
So many hos on my jock, think I'm a movie star.
Nineteen, I got a fifty thousand dollar car.
Go-to-school, I-ain't-go-in for it,
Kiss my ass, bust a cap on that Mo-et.
Cause I don't wanna hear that crap,
Why? I'd rather be a New Jack Hustler
A Hustler
H-U-S-T-L-E-R hustler
(Yo man you know what I'm sayin?
You got it goin on my man, I like how it's goin down.
You got the fly cars, the girls, the jewels.
Look at that ring right there,
I know it's real, it's gotta be real.
Man, you the flyest brutha I seen in my life!
Yo man, I just wanna roll with you man,
How can I be down?)
What's up? You say you wanna be down?
Ease back, a little brutha get beat down.
Out my face, fool I'm the illest,
Bulletproof, I die harder than Bruce Willis.
Got my crew in effect, I bought em new Jags,
So much cash, I gotta keep em in Hefty bags.
All I think about is keys and Gs
Imagine that, me workin at Mickey D's.
That's a joke cause I'm never gonna be broke,
When I die there'll be bullets and gunsmoke.
Ya don't like my lifestyle? Fuck you!
I'm rollin with the New Jack crew.
And I'm a hustler.
H-U-S-T-L-E-R hustler
New Jack Hustler
Here I come, so- you better break North,
As I stride, my gold chains glide back and forth.
I care nothing bout you, and that's evident.
All I love is my dope and dead presidents.
Sound crazy? Well it isn't.
The end justifies the means, that's the system.
I learned that in school then I dropped out,
Hit the streets, checked a grip, and now I got clout.
I had nothing, and I wanted it.
You had everything, and you flaunted it.
Turned the needy into the greedy,
With cocaine, my success came speedy.
Got me twisted, jammed into a paradox.
Every dollar I get, another brother drops.
Maybe that's the plan, and I don't understand,
God damn----you got me sinkin in quicksand.
But since I don't know, and I ain't never learned,
I gotta get paid, I got money to earn.
With my posse, out on the ave,
Bump my sounds, crack a forty and laugh.
Cool out and watch my new Benz gleam,
Is this a nightmare? Or the American dream?
So think twice if you're coming down my- block,
You wanna journey through hell? Well shit gets hot.
Pregnant teens, children's screams,....
Life is weighed on the scales of a triple beam.
You don't come here much, and ya better not.
Wrong move (bang), ambulance cot.
I gotta get more money than you got,....
So what, if some muthafucka gets shot?
That's how the game is played,
Another brother slayed, the wound is deep
BUT they're givin us a Band Aid.
My education's low but I got long dough,
Raised like a pit bull, heart pumps nitro.
Sleep on silk, lie like a politician,
My Uzi's my best friend, cold as a mortician.
Lock me up, in genocidal catastrophe,
There'll be another one after me!
A hustler.
Hustler.
H-U-S-T-L-E-R hustler.

5+ for making RAP sound this cool!!! another 5 for laying down the drums on your own and putting this together from the ground up.... not to mention so well. ALWAYS 5 for your guitarwork. Another 5 spot for scaring the hell out of me with the lead vox, imagining you in a sleaked out caddy on your way to a "drive by"... AND AT LEAST 10 for those BG vocals that sounded like Chris Tucker from that flick!!!! :yourock: :yourock: :yourock:

Yeah, I fondly remember old Granny sat at the dinner table telling me to "Eat them greens mofo or I gonna pop a cap in your ass" I don't believe I have just listened to and enjoyed a rap song ... that is a first! As Wig said, well impressive you did it all from scratch :thumb: *****

Hey, how cool is this?
I already knew that ya could crank out some great drum, bass and guitar tracks, and that ya could bust a rhyme as well ;)
But what surprised me about this track is how much you actually sound like Ice-T. If I didn't know what this was I might have thought it was an actual body count track.
HAHAHA! Matt this was fkin off the hook:woot: :woot: You can flow like a mofo:rock: This was sweeeeeeeet ass hell man,Loved it!! HOLLA !

That was really cool man, great job!
Ok, I have been seeing this post the last couple days, but unfortunately my headphones at work are not too great (while at work is usually the bulk of when I am around this site). So I have been waiting for an opportunity to check this out while at home with a much better sound system. So, I am home now, on a Friday night, my wife is out with her girly friends, so I am able to crank this). I am not remotely familiar with the history and culture of rap/Hip-Hop, but this is one song that I accidentally downloaded back in the Napster craze of the late 90s and it ended up on many of my mix CDs. I feel fairly confident in saying that I could step up to the mic, without a lyrics sheet for reference, and nail about 2/3 of the lyrics to this song from memory, that is how many time I have listened to this song. I listened to it almost every day for at least 3 or 4 months on my long drive to and from work. In the safe privacy of my own car, I had given in to my guilty pleasure and molded my craft of this tune. It has been a good 8 years since then and I am no longer in-touch with being able to deliver a rap like that, so I applaud your perfomance. I also was very impressed with your spot-on delivery of Fred Durst in the Limp Biskit tune (I haven't gotten around yet to responding to that one either! Hopefully this weekend). And I particularly liked the "metal" (heavy guitars) slant to your interpretation of this song. I'm going to throw your version on my Jump drive (which I listen to every day on my 35-minute drive to and from work), and see if I can't find the groove of this tune again! Excellent song choice, performance (vocals and guitar) and interpretation! 11 stars!

Awesome reply! Maybe we'll have a KC/SC hip-hop collab before long...;)

Ok, checking out this tune again, I really love that main 3-chord riff. Very catchy! I like this. Ad I like your interlude where that guy talks about wanting to be like Ice T and "how can I be down!??" :thumb: You and I have pretty similar tastes in music. You post a lot of covers that I wish I'd gotten around to working on prior to you! But you've beat me to the punch on quite a number of really great tunes that I have also thought about doing. This is a great tune and I really like your take on it!
