Heh, they won't load. Get the title, but no page. Bah, my computers been acting like a tit for a while. I'm starting to hate these things....not a single one actually works right.
What's going on? We had a bunch of weird power outages here in WA but they seem pretty localized.

I did not know there had been a quake here, didn't feel a thing in Wales, not that it would have woken me up anyway :D

Nah, nothing felt here down South. Probably wouldn't have felt it anyway or put it down to something I ate...

Yeah i felt the Earthquake, it hit here about 1am in the morning, not the first one i've felt, but it was certainly the worst i've felt by some way.
Im not sure if it caused any damage elsewhere, but things are fine here, hope the probs out in Florida aren't causing to many probs for any of u guys too.
Edit: just looked on MSN : http://news.uk.msn.com/Article.aspx?cp-documentid=7646188
The quake started in Market Rasen, which is about 15 miles from me, which explains why it felt so bad, 5.2 on the RS.

I think someone plugged in the toaster at the same time the coffee maker was going!!! IDIOTS!!!! LOL!! Actually the power outage didn't hit my neighborhood at all........my wife said it went on and off at work a couple times, but thats about all.....was mostly south of me from what i understand, Miami down through the Key's.......

Yeah the bugger woke me up , it only lasted 10secs or so but it was enough to get my attention :D

Yeah, actually. The wife reminded me. About 1 this morning, we were woke up by the airer banging against the radiator. It went on for a while. I looked across and the door was slowly opening.
I yelled at the cats to stop playing silly buggers and it eventually stopped.
But their wasn't a cat in the room at the time, and certainly wasn't one to be seen at all, so it was obviously the quake.
Cats were lucky, cuz if I had been more awake, they;d have got a foot up their ass for something that wouldn't have been their fault.

Doesn't matter. Cat's are always up to something. Doesn't matter whether you're correct about the reason you're kicking them...they certainly deserve it anyway.

Cats are absolute quality pets! I've got two (Dweezil & Phoebe) They have loads of character! Funny as fuck! Say the word 'Dinner' and you have a chorus of meeows and their utmost attention. another good thing about moggies is they don't do their shitting on they're own territory, they in some other bastards garden. Cats! :thumb:

Agree there mate ... I used to be a dog person (still love 'em), but life's hectic pace means there's no-one to look after a dog full-time like they need.
Now, cats ... they just get on with it .. put some food out for 'em twice a day and some fresh water and they leave you alone, except for when they can't make their minds up whether they want in or out.
Little bastard minxes though, when they put their minds to it. A cat will always be found in the most inconvenient place possible ... like under your feet when you're trying to carry a shitload of heavy, bulky boxes downstairs :maddance:
Ours are "Lemmy" and "Ozzy" btw :notme:

We waste our time looking to the skies for visitors from outer space, they're already here. Cats are the fucking Aliens mate! that's why the ancient egyptians worshipped them. We wait on them paw and claw and they give you a look as if to say "so you should" Eh? We're the most intelligent species on the planet.....I think not! No 40 hour+ weeks for moggies!

No arguments there!
It's the way they make you feel grateful even for them deigning to acknowledge your presence that gets me.
Tried bathing 'em yet?
Ours carved me left arm up with her claws and sank her teeth into me wrist (twice) a couple of years ago when I was trying to hold her so the wife could wash the little bastard. Claret all over the kitchen ... (can still feel the teeth sinking in ... little f****n' vampire!!)
Arm ballooned up and I ended up in North Tees A&E with pus leaking out of the wounds, getting loaded up with antibiotics and wondering if it'd leave any long-term damage in my fretboard hand!
Not tried again since ... but wondering if it'd work to hurl 'em into the shower cubicle over the open top with some fairy liquid ... and watch 'em bounce up and down trying to get out!! (ahh-hhh yess-ss .... revenge will be swee-eet) :tard:
Can just visualise it .... one of my favourite fantasies ... maybe I need to get out more, eh!

It's the oldest rule mate! Cats and water, never the twain etc.
Unless they initiate the move themselves. Not fond of water being space travellers and all that. They don't get much it up there you see.

From what I understand, there's actually lots and lots of water in outer space.

Excerpts from a Cat's Diary
Day Number 752
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me from going insane is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.
Day Number 761
Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.
Day Number 765
Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I'm capable of, and to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was......Hmmmmm. Not working according to plan.
Day Number 768
I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo". What sick minds could invent such a liquid. my only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.
Day Number 771
There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the foul odor of the glass tubes they call "beer". More importantly, I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies". Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.
Day Number 774
I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird on the other hand has got to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured.
But, I can wait -- it is only a matter of time...

Just when I read it, I was really laughing as the descriptions were spot on !

Mondy that reminds me of a book I once read by Terry Pratchett
(I never usually entertain this bloke's writings) Called The Unadulterated Cat.
I recommend it for any cat lover, it's brilliant!
