Hi everyone, my HARLEY BENTON HBB400TBK turned up this morning from Thomann, and so far im liking it alot, so i programmed a little drum work Ian Paice style, and went for a little Bass Solo, Roger Glover style.
Its basically lifted from a live Deep Purple show, and you may even hear me do the whole song Speed King one day, which is where the section was played in.
Anyhow, used a preset from the Pod X3L with a touch of chorus, and tried to get abit funky :) , also took a pic, although the light is quite bad today, so not the best pic you'll ever see.
Think its going to be fun to play though, and im really happy with the sound of it, now i just have to get a good idea of how to setup bass patches
Thanks for taking look :thumb:

LOL!! Look at that, they even make the same one I got for right hand players,. Sounding good J, (but that chorused tone is awefull, lol!). Do you notice any buzz on the 4th string like I told you? I found out it happens on whatever frets behind the one you are fingering. Maybe itīs a common issue due to such a thick string, itīs an easy fix for sure though.

Thanks guys, enjoying it alot so far, probably going to open up a few more doors, and completes my little setup too :)
As for the strings, there is alittle rattle infront (very minor), but mine atleast doesn't seem to have the same prob yours had Tony, it might down to no one test playing the Left Hand models maybe, mine seems pretty well setup, both in height and intonation, and rattleless, but i'll know better once i've been using it a while longer.
Thanks again guys :thumb:

Cool stuff. You guys are sure doing some good advertising for that bass, hehe. Might get me one if I didnt already have a bass guitar.
The sound ya got going there reminded me of "the awakening", les claypool style. Ya should do that one for your next sound clip! ;)

Thanks guys, its been good fun messing about with it this afternoon, im just thinking what song i could put it to good use on, but for once im probably gonna hold back a little while, i don't feel like making any work for myself atm
Thats a very cool clip too Naif, im not sure i'll be up playing Slap bass quite this quickly (gotta sort some decent settings out first hehe), but i'l definately get to something with it in the near future.
Thanks again everyone :thumb:

lmao, well my timing is abit rough, and i'll be removing the chorus lol, but its just one of those things really, i've spent so long programming bass, and its not to much different playing it really to a guitar in tuning, in some ways it feels quite comfortable, but a good way to go as yet before i'll feel fully at home on it, im not just casting my thoughts to what i could cover with it :)
Thanks again mate :thumb:
