Hi everyone, here is one from Deep Purples 'Perfect Strangers' album, called "Knocking At Your Backdoor", we've been working on this on and off for awhile now, and the last few weeks it started to come together.
John took the vocals, and puts in an awesome performence, as always not enough good things i can say about them, and he put a huge amount of input into the rest of the song too, which made the world of difference to how the song came out, and all for the better, so a big thank you for all your hard work mate
The bt was made by me from scratch, guitars and organ solos played by me, i hope you like what we did with it, and thanks for taking a listen :thumb:

WOW:jawdrop:
Absolutely love this song and I so love the cover you guys did here. The backing track is unbelievable sounds like the real band to me.
John your vox amaze me mate, you are gifted and blessed. Jamie you too are Gifted and blessed you are one heck of a musician mate. The guitarwork was so Blackmore meets Morse (kind of meets Vai) if you catch my drift and the attention to detail outstanding. Love the Organ solo also. :woot:
The guitar tone is aweome throughout also. What an outro solo...The thing I love on this is the way you guys made the project your own...always love when people do that.:woot:
Did I mention I love this song:)....Gonna play it again...& Download it for my iPod....love that riff in this song.....

This is probably one of my favourite DP albums out of them all as theres alot of quality songs on it , this being one of them :D
Well what can i say , John a faultless vocal peformance from you as always me ol mate , loved those held on phrases , must of taken some lung power without a doubt, combined with the fantastic harmonies :toothless:
Jam excellent work with the bt and the guitaring/organ , they all sounded lovely and the guitarwork was like a cross between Blackmore/Morse with your own style that we've all come to know , obviously doing the organ work aswell is just being clever lol , but nah a fantastic cover fellas, 5 stars :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone, as always its much appreciated :thumb:
On the guitar riff/rhythm Jim, the mix of most of my Purple songs lean towards later DP stuff with Morse in the band, where the Organ and Guitars are about equal, as opposed to Blackmores way 'my guitar loudest, everything else lower'
For me that was one of the worst things about Rainbow, alot of the keyboarding on the songs were great, but 90% of the time you couldn't even hear them, and it was a similar case with DP til Ritchie took his leave and Morse joined, and i have the bad habbit of applying it retrospective to the songs and the mix when i come to them, its just my way :tard:
Thanks again everyone :)

Thanks for the nice response everyone!! As Jamie said, we went round and round with this for quite a while, as well as it just sitting for spells while we both had other things going on, but finally got her did!!!!! I think Jamie's idea of the guitar/organ duel on the first solo is inspired!!! Great job on the whole deal here Jamie!!! Alway's a great time doing tunes with ya!!! :yourock:

VERY pro sounding. John has that Gillan thing but I can hear Glenn Hughes more which is great as he's one of the best singers on the planet. Nice track there Jamie and the guitar sounded superb. All-in-all a great track.

Hi is this posted anywhere else I would like to hear this one as DP are one of my favorite bands from when I first started playing geetar, "Blackmore and Gillan" era Purple is the only Deep Purple I would listen to, no other singer or guitar player for me, its just not the same, But Coverdale was close, I still like his vocals but with Whitesnake, but Gillan is the voice of Deep Purple that really cuts thru everything else..
