Sad to see him retire, but I sort of saw it coming. Thanks for all the wonderful years Brett and hope to see you on an NFL commentary soon. How bout Dan Marino's job on Inside the NFL? :)

being a lifetime packer fan it still is a shock. figured he would play one more year but you know if we wanted to retire at a high point in his career i guess this is it. he got one game ayway from the superbowl (that we would have lost) and we know that with the present players they could never win the big one if they got in it next year so this is as far as they could go so maybe its time to retire on a high note. he will be missed and the packers will be ok but not great. still better than the dolphins (sorry jpf)

LOL @ Dolphins...They have been "thrifty" with free agency. But yeah...Bret is a rare treat in the NFL. No doubt he will be in the Hall of Fame soon....if that's any consolation. I remember him from USM days. I only hope the Pack can gather together and use their weapons again. Cheers Kenny!

He's up there in stature with Unitas, Starr, Bradshaw, Montana, imo. If there were a Mt. Rushmore for quarterbacks you'd have to have Favres head up there (maybe bounce Terry's head out of there to make room). Have a great retirement Brett you deserve it.

No need to be sorry....have you seen my avatar??!!! LOL!!! But i can surely relate to Brett getting out now. They had a fantastic season, and chances are REAL good that wouldn't happen again, so this is about as close to going out on top as he is going to get!! Always liked Brett, has that "take me as i am" attitude....with mad skills to back it up!!!! Have a great retirement Brett, you deserve it!!!!!:bowdown: :bowdown:
