Here is what I'm making lately at work. These are called "Ecentric reducers" and they eventually will get fiberglassed to some straight fiberglass pipe and such,, too much detail really to go into. I am making these for our sister company in Canada. the first one is a reducer that weighed in at 2,350 lbs total,, and is about a little over 2' thick,, all fiberglass,, and hand layed up,, and took about 60 to 70 layers of fiberglass to make. this one took me a little over a week to get done.

these ones here are a tad smaller,, but we do em in turners,, which i prefer,,c asue its cleaner and neater that way

Cool. Here's what I've been doing:

We're trying to model those things in the computer. Right now we're hoping to be able to do it with equations but the horsepower part is proving very difficult. The equation at the bottom of that article is not complete. Nmech in not specified...that's what we can't seem to figure out.
Anyway...very frustrating...very fun. Sort of like trying to find the meaning of it all :P
