Too bad I just got the bean and the FBV SB.

Either way, I wouldn't know how to use it

The sound samples are nice...especially the Joe Perry one. I've held off replacing my XT for this one to surface. The dual tone feature is on the Vetta and I've wanted to try it out for years. :thumb:

If you're going to just use it for recording as opposed to live playing, then just spend $99 USD and get the Gearbox plugin (Vst, DXi) that allows you to re-amp and run multiple instances (think dual tone Vetta only more than 2!), etc. Check it out at Line 6. They just dropped the price by $100 so it's a steal at $99 and gets yet even MORE use/life outta your old XT.

You can even use other inputs (only caveat being you need the XT connected irregardless sort of like a dongle to authenticate).

Trust Petie, I wouldn't pull yer leg.

Yeah, mine's more a question of how long my XT is gonna last. It's showing signs of serious wear as it's on a LOT. I never got a reply from Line6 regarding what happens to the software if the hardware fails... i.e the add-ons I have...would I still be able to upload them to a new unit? I've had a great life out of this unit and I bought it 2nd hand off eBay but I think it must fial at some point due to dust etc in the pots and the usual stuff. :thumb:

There is a very explicit HOW TO on Line6.com that explains precisely how to transfer your registered addons from one device to another and how to back all that info up. What I am waiting on is an explanation as to whether or not I can back everything I need up to a usb dongle (think Cubase) and use that for activation of Gearbox Plugin because with this software I honestly do not need to be chained to the physical XT. I can use ANY interface I wish and that is way more versatile and future proof. I'll pass on what I find out as I know many of my brethren here use Line6 products.
