Thats all you need mate, but don't tell my missus I said that  Basically what I have. Want to get a strat(ish) for the single coil sound, but finances deny :( Nearly bought a second hand Affinnity Squire for £40, but figure better to wait and get a proper Squire as I have heard bad things about the Affinity range.

Plywood plank with rubbish cheap hardware. Ok to learn on I guess, but no good for seasoned masters like us :notme:

If Ever there was a multi tool guitar ,it would have to be the Lespaul with the P90's you have shown in your picture. When i had to play a really important gig especially one outdoors or in an enviroment of contrasting conditions it's the weapon of choice.
They stay in tune, their design and solid wood gives them great sustain. They can take abuse like no other guitar in my mind.Even today if i had to play tommorow i would grab my Lespaul first and my SG 2nd.
So i agree with the what the others have said ...youv'e got everything covered with those three GOOD guitars.
P.S P90's are in interesting choice these days when everyone is talking about and using Humbuckers. What made you decide to use them?.

Well, i must have read a thousand reviews on this model ('56 reissue) and the year later '57 when the humbuckers were put in and found it a gut wrench to try and decide which one to get. (I had to have me a gold top tho! ) The sustain and tuning comments you mention are spot on IMO and it came down to the type of music i play in the end. I listen to and like to record rock stuff but as my playing ability is still in the 'improver' category i also record easier, mellower type stuff and found when i played the one with p90s i got more of the tonal response that i was looking for. Now people may say well you can get that with the 'buckers and your modeller etc, which maybe true but to my ears at that moment this is what i wanted. What is also true is that each time i get better at dialling up different tones, the more i am impressed with it.
Thanks for looking in Parker.:thumb:

I forgot to mention one little tone trick to use with a Paul, I got it from Joe Bonamassa's DVD and i think he nipped it from Jimmy Page.Roll back the volume on your neck pickup from 5 to 7 still keeping all the other knobs on full and put your pup selector in the middle. It gives you some very interesting solo tone option's that are often overlooked.Almost a Fender tele type phased sound.I have used this for many solos and rythem parts when i wanted something different.
If you already know about this.....well then i'll feel pretty stupid for telling you.But some have never tried this out.:boobies:
