Tis the season of reposts, so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and repost one of my fave collab's of my time on this forum. It features the Fantabulous and wondrous Linda on vocals, she truly did me proud on this one, thanks love. This was originally posted here in January 2007.
Here is what I wrote when I posted it and this goes out to the lovely linda:hug: ::bowdown:
Here is our cover of Village on the Sand one of my fave songs by Blackmore's Night. I built the backing track and laid down guitars. I then asked Linda to be Candice Night and she delivered wonderfully. She then pulled Art in to the studio do the backup vocals. Linda & Art gave a really stella vocal performance on this one. I was totally floored when she sent the track back to me.
My deepest thanks also go to Matt (Supercharged350) who mastered and produced my final tweakings of the mix. Big thanks also go to Rain (Mandy) who listened (& advised) to numerous creations as I built this track and started to layer in guitars. I will post this backing track up minus guitars for people to use
This was quite a demanding project for me and I am glad it is done. I did have fun doing it and felt I have learnt through the process (which is what it is all about).
Thanks in advance for listening,
Mark.
