There is no excuse for this, the universal guitar shop laws regarding this song are well known and documented. Moderators, ban this guy before he starts on Stairway and Sweet child of mine!!!!
But seriously
Nice work here, apart from the aforementioned weird start and skpping. I assume it was ok before you uploaded? Enjoyed it mate, welcome to the forum and look forward to hearing more from you.
Not Stairway tho :wtf:

Well worth waiting 25 second wait. You haven't said whether or not you're singing here. If so, your voice sounds good to my lugs. Ignoring the unfortunate drop outs (I'm sure someone here will know wot caused that!) the only thing I can fault is that the solo is too low in the mix.

Thanks!.. NO, thats not me singing, shit i wish.. lol, The backing track has vocals on it. The skips happened when I recorded it i think, no idea how that happened. Since it was done on my old pc for some reason on this new computer I cant record the backing tracks????? The guitar comes out fine, but I cant capture the backing track at all. I'm using Audacity to record, Guitar Port for guitar, and the backing tracks i have saved in Windows Media Player. When I attempt to record I hit play on the backing track & record on Audacity, but the only thing recorded is the guitar. Any thoughts? I tried to record more tracks today, but no dice.

Well oneway you can do it on audacity is import the backing track into audacity itself mate , that way the bt is inside audacity so you don't have to keep pissing about pressing play on windows media player, you can just press play or start it anywhere you need to on the bt which is handy :)
Just goto the menus at the top of the screen in audacity and go along to project , click on that and then scroll down to import audio , then select your bt of there and then it brings it into audacity for you :D
Back to your cover , well i thought you did great work on this mate , reminded me of Steve Morse playing with Deep Purple with some divebombs n such , lovely tone aswell , although i don't think you can over play this song ,i think everyone thrashs out to it on occasions :D
Hope the above helps with your recording , welcome to the site mate :)

Forgive me if im way off, but have you uploaded the backing track into Audacity?? If you have just ignore me,:tard: but it sounds as though you haven't. To do this you go to import audio in the project menu then select the backing track you want from the files on your computer ( as long as its a .wav or a mp3) and it will upload it for you. Then you can play the backing track and record your guitars. Then when you export the file as .wav or .mp3 you'll have the whole thing. Hope this is useful and i havent misunderstood your problem.
Cheers
Andrew.

welcome to the site :wavey:
what on earth made you choose this track???
great backer...super vox..but those pinched squeels?? would make ritchie turn in his furry boots!.
the wah on the solo made this "your version"..nicely played, but its very hard
for me to applaud any attempt that is so far from the original classic.
theres lots of VH backers out there. :thumb:
regards,
jim.
