Hiya everyone , ive got abit of a mixed bag of a song here for you all but before i rattle on about what i did etc i would just like to say that i would like to dedicate this song to a special friend and there family who are going through a difficult time , i hope that this song can bring abit of sunshine to there day :)
Well back to the track , well this is a classic song which was written by Joan Baez and i think has been covered afew times by various bands , but Blackmores Night have also covered this and for those of you who know me, well you all know im loopy about Ritchie Blackmore and especially Blackmore's Night , so i thought i would have a crack at this one :D
So i made the bt from scratch although i had to move the key considerably (due to my croddy vocals lol) , i played the bass , acoustic lead / rhythm , shaker , electric guitars slide/lead , vocals / vocal harmonies , i must admit its been alot of fun making this , so i hope you enjoy this lovely classic :)

Brilliant! I love this song, ever since I saw judas priest do it live. I really like Joan Baez version too. And now I really like your version as well, hehe. Great stuff.
Very moving. :yourock:

Love this song. I first heard Priest's version and worked out an acoustic version of that, then discovered it was a Joan Baez cover  Been playing it regularly since. Not heard this version before, but it does the song justice. Great work on the backer, and of course the guitars were just fine. Vocals were far from "croddy" (cruddy?) too. I would have used Halford's lyric changes tho  Easy 5 stars mate, really enjoyed it.

Hey Mart, this song is one that Wendy nags me to play for her. She just listened to this and says it is the best version she has ever heard. She loved your vocals and harmonies. Guess I had better start practicing it your way now then

Mart, this is exceptional work my friend. The acoustic intro and throughout the tune is really nice, lovely ringing clear tone. I've always liked your vocals mate and with the harmony sounds very good, my favourite is the slide, I just thought that sounded awesome. Enjoyed this very much. 5 from me.:)

Well what can i say Mart, built from the ground up, everything played by you, sung by you, harmonised by you, whats the old saying....no1 likes a smart ass
Seriously though, just brilliant work, your Blackmore tone and playing is just spot on, no other words for it really, and everything about the backer and vocals was great too, especially the harmonys, and 5 stars :thumb:

Haven't had time to listen to any posts the last month so I'm way behind. Finally have the time now, and so glad I stopped and checked this one out! Overall mix and sound just terrific! Vox, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums...I can hear everything clearly, real pro sound, and fade out at the and was as smooth as I've ever heard, great production on this. 5***** from me!!
