I know this is pretty different from most of the stuff I post but I've always loved old Journey. In fact I have another one in the works with another forum member. :notme:
Mrs. SC was kind enough to supply the Steve Perry vocals and she did a great job! I made the backer fom midi and got some much needed help with the piano from Wigrocks. Then I did the guitars and the low vocal and all the harmonies. I have to say I love the way this turned out. Enjoy! :thumb:

Dont remember this one. Must have been a pretty good midi, or you have done some very clever tweaking, as the backer was great. Good to hear you and the missus singing together too! Nice post mate :thumb:

Guys...don't make me move to Florida just to get a glimse of how the "House of Rock" works. :) Amazing!! Really errie how close this sounds to Journey.
Mrs SC...I take my hat off!! (and I really am wearing one...backwards of course....Mr SC...I will put it back on soon as that is the hat I do all my recording with...LOL).
Oops!! Left out Wig...:tard: You play a mean piano! Sounded so sweet. I tend to take it for granted with all this MIDI stuff available to us, but you are a welcome "human" addition.

Love this track...mainly cos it was a first track for Steve Perry and he shared it with Greg Rolie. I always imagined the producer saying, 'OK, we're gonna let Steve sing the verses Greg' and seeing Greg's open mouth when he heard him sing! :jawdrop:
You guys certainly captured that early feel and vibe and good work by both of you on the vocals. Harmonies were great. :thumb:

Killer track, guys and gal!!!!!
I love old Journey as well but, although Steve Perry is an amazing singer I still prefer the band's music prior to Perry being forced on the band by their record label!!!!

Terrific work with the backer. Karmen sounds very good and on the money with the pitch throughout the song.
The solo sounds great. You did very good, man! And how about the backing vocals? What a treat this was.

LOL... still a midi Serg! I just had some good fonts to work with. I shouldn't even be mentioned here, Matt and K did the real work in this, I just dragged, tweaked and exported, LOL.
You guys are a power duo!!! This just drips with excellence!!! Super track!!
Very cool kids!!!!! Must say, a little amused that you would do a Journey tune....not that i wouldn't think you could, or that you like them, just it's hard to think beyond "Fire and Brimestone" when it comes to the type of stuff i know you two usually do!!! LOL!! Awesome job Karm on the Perry vox....chewed him right up, and spit him out!!! LOL!! Well, that sounded weird, but you know what i mean:tard: ....and Matt brother, everything else is just kickass bro....playing, singing, mixing, mastering......you just have it all bro!!!! Oh, and lets not forget Steve...you are the dragging-est, tweaking-est, exporting-est sumbitch around bro!!! Sounded like the real deal for sure!!! Great job all!!!!  :thumb:

Sounds bloody fantastic over here guys!
Now I gotta admit, I never heard any Journey stuff pre-Perry ... but I guess I need to remedy that now.
You all 3 work exceedingly well together, great harmonies too, but Karmen's soaring vocals really take the biscuit here.
I got more of a Janis Joplin/Grace Slick timbre here, rather than a take on Perry tho.
Whatever - this is excellent :thumb:
Finally got a chance to check this out. Great cover choice and an awesome vocal duet. This had to be awkward for Greg Rolie, but I'm sure he realized that Steve Perry was unreal talent. The real sellout was when Jonathan Cain took Rolie's place in the band. Anyway, loved this take on a lesser known journey track. Your harmonies sound splenid too. Maybe you could try City of the Angels??

Me, I don't really like journey. But I am a fan of you two, so I had to give this one a listen anyway. And I have to say ya sound great here. Even tho I don't necessarily like the song itself that much. But it was very well put together! :thumb:
