Hi everyone, we've been working hard, and its finally finished, The March Random Jam "Freebird".
Now, where to start, we had alot of PM's flying about when we were drawn, discussing which of the songs we should do, and it came down to "Overkill" by Motorhead and "Freebird" by Lynard Skynard, and after a few more PMs we settled for "Freebird".
The drums were scratch built by myself, every other instrument on the song is played by one of us, and at just over 10mins, there was quite alot to do, but i can't begin to tell you how much fun it was, from the moment we all started recording, it was like watching each piece of a puzzle coming together, Per and Steve were awesome throughout the whole process, a real team effort from everyone :)
Naifuzan plays all Slide guitar, all lefthand electric rhythm, lead and harmonys, solo spots 4:53-5:20, 8:11-8:38
SteveG plays all righthand electric rhythm, lead and harmonys,
solo spots 6:55- 7:20, 8:37-9:08 :yourock:
I sing all vocals, play the bass, organ, piano, keyboards, acoustic, center rhythm, lead and harmonys, solo spots 5:45-6:29, 9:32-9:42.
Not much left to say really, other then we hope you enjoy what we've done with it, and thanks for taking a listen :thumb:

Perfect choice for a jam, this song is legendary.Thank gosh its not sweet home alabama.. I might be from bama, but a girl needs to roam sometimes..You all did a brilliant job..If there is one song that we all can have in our own soundtrack of our lives, this would definately be there..You all rock!!!!!!!

This was a hell of a lot of fun. Well it was for me, Jam and Per did most of the hard work  The final mix is nothing shot of phenomenal! I did a rough mix in Audition last night and thought that sounded pretty good, but in Jamie's every instrument is clear and not interfering with anything else, and it all sounds fantastic. And what can be said about working with this pair? Hardest bit was deciding which song to cover, then if we were going the whole hog on Freebird or wimping out on the radio edit :wtf: As you can hear, enthusiasm overcame common sense :D Great doing this with you guys, would do it again anytime .... shorter song tho
I was very unsure when I put my name down for this, and in a state of blind panic when I got drawn .... but I am glad that I did and would suggest that anyone else who is wary take the plunge on this months.
I am very pleased to have been a part of this, and hope you all like it as much as I do.

All of you take a bow!! Excellent! I am really smiling ear to ear right now. I love this little Monthly jam thing!! You see a side of the creative process that is sometimes not normally in your comfort zone, but well delivered. This is a song that perhaps you guys were not too familiar with but sounds so well put together....proving to me that music is indeed a universal language. This is awesome guys. Reading the names, I realize none of you are Americans and this is a bread and butter staple of American Classic Southern Rock. Big Kudos guys!!

Calling the FBI is no joke and not somthing I would take lightly would you ? that is somthing I reserve for "stalkers" and people that "harass" other people online wich the user liscens agreement everyone sighns when thay log on here has indeed been violated for this websight by more than one person so if you dont want to talk with them mind your own dam buisness.
I am a guy who likes a good joke but when it comes to a violation of right's though I sure as hell am not joking you can count on that.
Do you think the FBI is a joke ?
Well let me be the first to tell you I think your a joke Ukelele get a life and mind your own dam buisness.

I forgot to add too that if you have a lagitimate beaf with people on here and try to speak out abought it you just get banned and have people like you make stupid remarks to try and mask your garbage so dont talk to me abought crying if anyone is a cryier it's a person that hides behind the banning of another to conceal harassment.:)

Well...thankfully....you didn't call FEMA...then you would get no action at all...
Hey man...we try to be accepting of all people and beliefs and welcome everyone warmly. Can you honestly say you have ever found a more relaxed atmosphere on the net that is so supportive of each other? It's sad that you had to go, but action = reaction in my book. It was warranted and we take no pleasure from it. Take care of yourself.
Now...lets rock on.

Well i honestly don't know where you're coming from at all on any of this, i know for a fact nither Steve, Per or myself have ever had any "Beaf" with you, or anyone else in this thread and others you are picking a fight with.
As 3Fingers said, we take no pleasure at all in banning you, but if you honestly can't see how outragous and insane your last few posts have been on here, then you have no place in this community imo.

Wow first up the backing is very cool indeed .It has that softness of the original , very cool . Vox are perfect for the job i really cannot find a fault with them at all . I was never a LS fan but the ending of this track always had my ears pricking up , likewise the ending of this track . Some parts im not familiar with but the whole tune does build up to a crescendo, to leave the listener gasping for breath , as is intended . Nice alternate tones keep the tune refreshed .
Guys a mammoth track that is truly deserving a 583 metre tall statue in central London . But as this is seemingly impossible have 5 from me and a well done all round , now go take a shower :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

A Rock & Roll Classic!!!!! Not one of my fav bands but, a talented band nonetheless!!! And there's no denying that this song is the definitive R&R anthem!!!!!

Great, great work here! Can we just establish what happens. Three people who never met each other from different corners of the world make music via e-mail and it comes out this well? That's an astonishing feat in words alone but then hear what's been done and the fact you were forced into something maybe out of your comfort zone and, well, here it is! I think everybody played a blinder. :thumb:
