Hey everyone, not sure if this is the right section if not I apologize. I just signed up here after lurking for a few weeks. Last thanksgiving I lost all my gear in a house fire so I'm currently rebuilding. All I have right now is my new beloved ESP EC-1000.

a v-amp2, and an epiphone sg used for playing dropped tunings. I've found this place quite useful for information and it seems to be a great community, I hope I can be a good contributing member.

Welcome to GB mate, sorry to hear you lost all your gear in the fire, thats a lovely looking ESP though, always loved the look of the Green Quilted maple tops, and that looks a beauty.
Hope you enjoy your time here on GB :thumb:

The color is actually called See-Thru green and the pickups are my personal favorites, EMG 60 in the neck and an 81 at the bridge.

The axe itself I absolutely love, set neck, mahogony body/neck, rosewood fretboard, locking tuners, tonepros locking bridge, emg 60n 81b, ervana 42mm nut, to be completely honest it's better than any les paul I've played. *Hiding from the Gibson boys* :)

You know thats not too far from the truth...i think Gibson should take a page out of ESP's book and give us Lespaul guys a contoured neck like on the ESP.So we can have better access to the higher frets. Fender has done a woderfull job of carving down the heel as well on it's American Deluxe Strats.I tried an ESP at my local music store and was very impressed with the feel and quality of tone plus i like the frets they have chosen for their new models as well.
The binding finish is just the icing on the cake to a very cool:cool: looking guitar>
Hope you get many good years out of it.

Yeah I've spent a ton of hours in guitar shops playing all kinds of guitars, hundrds of Gibsons, and when I picked up my first ESP I was like holy crap this is perfect. You nailed it perfect, the ESP necks are absolutely fantastic, it doesn't get any better. Also another thing I noticed is that Gibsons seem to sound a little flat or dull while the ESP's just scream.
