View Full Version : Reb in "Give me all your Love"
After seeing Chris' post in file share, and folks talkin' about Reb, and being involved and whatnot on the new album, i got thinking about this one off the "Live in the still of the Night" DVD. The boy is a shredder of the first order IMO!! If he ain't involved, well that would be shamful. This vid was the best quality one i could find on YT.....and it had to be the one with the damn clock running below. Oh well, enjoy!!

Me and Geordie were at this gig mate. I am a big fan of Reb Beach but he doesn't get as big a look in as Doug which is a shame BUT I think Doug is the 2nd coming of the holy ghost on guitar so I ain't too upset. I've tried to do that tapping style of Reb's for at least 20 years now and I'm no further on then I was then. he's a star but I think he's eclipsed in this band sadly.
Yea, 'tis true i know......but i don't think he really cares all that much. He seems to be perfectly happy being "#2" as it were. I know in the documentary on this DVD, he talks about how he just always wanted to play with Coverdale, and thats all that matters. He also said he's really not so much a "front man" style guitarist....just a guy ya call when you need some cool licks!!! Seems like a likeable dude....

Too true...funny thing is that Doug is a quiet guy also. If you ever see his instructional video  he's really quiet spoken and not the type to jaw on about himself. Give him a guitar tho and he just soars! Reb Beach has had at least 20 years with Winger, Dokken etc...maybe he's mellowing and we can expect some blues from the guy sometime soon!

I actually have that vid, i think compliments of your good self!!!! Ernie, ernie, ernie!! LOL!! Yea, it is very refreshing to have a couple of monster players who are humble, and do their talking as they should, with their guitars!!! Also wanted to say that its very cool that you were able to go to the show at Hammersmith........curious......was Coverdale off pretty bad that night?? Seems they overdubbed his vox, at least looking at the video, quite a few spots....just doesn't seem synced or mixed properly.....as if they put a track of his vocal over the vid.....thoughts??

Great playing from Mr Beach ... but I still prefer 'classic' 'snake
Also, after nearly 30 years, I STILL can't work out how a local Northeast lad from Saltburn turned into a real true-blue cock-a-knee "Aow-wight the back?" :headscratch:

Doogie White said he was using some sort of vocal enhancer pitch corrector and Geordie thought he was (in his words) 'shite'! Sound wasn't very good in the seats we were in but Doug played a blinder as did Tommy A. :thumb:
