I've never liked that song to be honest, but there's nowt wrong with that rendition.
Not too fond of funk.

I sat in with a band who played this....i had no idea what the chord structure was...but I kept hearing the other guitar player yelling to me in my ear...something about C9...LOL....This tune just flat out kicks! Great tune and a great job! :thumb: :thumb: Since I was only there to solo...I think it went well. Not as well as the nice lead here fo sho! Great little taste of the funky life!!

Sounds like a funkin' good gig! Well miked kit. Bass is pumping and there's even a horn section! I love it when Guitar solos go mental on funk songs...Prince does this great!

That there was Kenny Nicholson on elec' fiddle .... Wah's predecessor in Black Rose ... great player and all-round nice guy too.

Doggy and The Puppies were a great fun-time band, but with some serious playing skills too ... and tight as the proverbial duck's a**e.

Nice to see that Paul's working with three(?) of these same class muso's again (Kenny, Doggy ... and is it Ian, the drummer, Paul?).

Good version mate ... I remember you playing it on at least one of the occasions I came to see yer :thumb:

I'm not exactly a big funk fan either  but this song sorta stands out from the funktastic dross, and this was a great version.

Wow powerful stuff . Where and how was this recorded , was it a live take ? . You can really here the Bass kick out and is that Sister Ken on lead ? . Ahh too many questions .

Enjoyed the listen Paul . :)
