Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a subscription to http://www.vintaxe.com that can share there user name and password to view vintage catalogs? Friggin pisses me off that everyone is trying to make money just to view pictures of guitars! Man this sucks! I'm trying to find out information on a 67,68 and 69 Danelectro Coral Firefly. I found a few sites but the details and pics are not the same guitar I have that's needs a restore! This site above has a 67 Danelectro catalog that you need to pay to see! :maddance:

Is this the guitar?
Yes,..that is it,..but it's a 67 first production! It's a little different. As in the bridge and color of the sunburst. It's a vintage type sunburst color,.. browner. and also the neck is painted all black with just the Danelectro plate on the headstock. I'm trying to find the the pickup mounting rings. I've tried everywhere to find these and no luck. I'm going to have to take the guitar to a metal shop and have them custom make these for me. They are only 1/6" aluminum pickup mounting rings,..but they need to be there! Also missing is the pickguard. I know I can have one of these made custom at Pickguardian.com The guitar is well worth putting some money into it and the time.
Thanks for the info!

Well, since this moring ,..I took the guitar to a local machine shop that is in my town. He said it would be no problem to make these @ $35.00 per bezel. I told him to go ahead with it. They will be done by Sunday. I'm very happy that he can do it! He's going to making these out of 1/6" polished aluminum and contoured to fit the arch top. Very cool..!!
Now for the pickguard!!??
