Hi Guys,

I just got myself a new axe so thought I'd share a pic with you guys.
I bought it 2nd hand for a great bargain price of £295 UK pounds. Its a guitar made by a French company called Lag, you may have heard of'em in the 80's & 90's.This one is absolute as new condition (not sure how old it is) and its called a Lag 'The Beast' Custom Californian series. Spec is below:

Spec:

Natural Oil finsh Alder body
Maple neck/fretboard with reverse headstock (I love that!)
18th - 22nd Frets are schalloped & only halfway up the neck for the G-B & High E.
Schaller 'made in Germany' Floyd Rose Trem (Original Style)
Seymour Duncan SSL3 in the neck
Dimarzio Tone Zone (Bridge)
1 Volume Pot with Coil Tap for the Bridge pickup (Volume pot is well out of my way as well which is mucho important to me!)
Very light guitar with a great resonance and sustain.
Custom made in France...what a bargain...

Looks nice man. Would look even better with a nice 3-ply white scratchplate/pickgaurd on it. But thats just me being a picky git. Cool stuff dude. Enjoy it. And lets hear it :thumb:

Wow...that's cool...I'd take one. :) I love idea of the limited scalloping, and are the frets fanned?

Hey Guys,

Thanks very much, this one is a great axe to play, very comfortable, and those upper frets with schalloping makes bending/Vibrato'ing 10's a whole lot easier, I can see why YJM does this.

Jack, the frets a just normal dunlop frets, not fanned or anything. its also got some nice Gotoh tuners I forgot to mention as well.

Well, I have recorded something with this axe and its in the covers section. I recorded a version of Andy Timmons 'Cry for You' song.

Cheers Guys....

Not that I can play so fast that the fretboard hinders me, but scalloping just those high frets is a great idea. I'm sure I'd never be able to play a chord in tune if the whole neck was done.

Ah, ok...the way the light's hitting the scalloped area makes it look like they fan out up high. Love that cutaway, too. I really don't go up that high much...but it's cool. :)
