Slight faux pas there Park, ol' bean, ol' chap. Not surprising and forgiveable though, considering the geographical distance between us.

Unraveled lives in Teesside, near the Northeast coast of England, some 250-odd miles from Old London Town (Teesside is the home region of we "smoggies", i.e. Wahwah, Lippy, Leftbass, Bluesplayer & Linda, Propane, Reverend Gill, Lazy Dogster and Sky1962 ... any more I've left out? ... oh yeah ... Bluesgeek - now living in New Zealand). Teesside only covers around 300 sq. miles ... and all of the afore-mentioned come from towns which at the extreme are no more than 5 miles apart. What's more, each one of us above are known to the others, by reputation and through mutual friends at least, if not from actually being friends 'back in the day'.

Although the distance from London to Teesside is tiny on your scale there over the water, to us over here, it's like suggesting that you, Park, live only 3 blocks from JPF in Florida! (not that living so close to John would be a BAD thing), but you get the idea of the scale ...

Cor blimey guv' ... bleedin freezin' ... innit? :D

Nah ... damn right ... it's "Aya all-reet pet?" :)

That show (Coronation Street) was how we percieved all British people spoke when we were kid's.So most Canadian's can do a shakey cockney accent when pressed into it after several beer's.

Britain Is responsible for three of my favorite things

#1 The Marshall Head and Cabinet (all models)
#2 Led Zepplin
#3 The scene from Shaun of The Dead where they are wacking that old man zombie with pool cue's to the tune of "Dont Stop Me now" by Queen.

Oh sorry 4 Things.. #4 Meeting good chap's from Teesside Like the Captain Spasim Unraveled and Wahwah, Lippy, Leftbass, Bluesplayer & Linda, Propane, Reverend Gill, Lazy Dogster and Sky1962 ... any more I've left out? ... oh yeah ... Bluesgeek - now living in New Zealand

LEEDS???!!!

Think you've had the wool pulled over your eyes for your avatar there Parker ... Leeds is in West Yorkshire (ay-up lad!) .... 55 miles from Smoggie-Central ... where the steelworks and chemical factory chimneys pump ever more toxins into the atmosphere and the sky takes on a curious shade of petrol-blue, mixed with brown smoke ... where the ever-so-slightly acidic rain gently re-colours your clothes, as they sway gently in the sh*t-scented breeze ... ahh ... home!

Can you tell I don't live there anymore? ... never mind ... it's still home in the heart and still holds some of the best (and worst) memories. :)

Parkie, you are about to stumble into something akin to the rivalry between the Oilers and the Calgary Flames, except about 5 times as bitter. Leeds fans versus Man Utd (aka "The Red Scum"). 'Boro versus Newcastle (aka "The Toon Army"). Football in these parts is a religion. I knew a Toon Army fan that wouldn't eat bacon cos it was red and white (Same colours as Middlesborough)!!!

hey thanks for the warrning Hanz
5 Times Worse than the Edmonton /Calgary rivalry!! wow that's hardcore stuff. The vehement dislike of the Flames still burns deep within me to the very core!, second only to the palpable dislike i have for Montreal.Well thats interesting stuff.....so what happens at games? do they just basicaly konk each other over the heads with chairs Ala the Jerry Springer show.:stick:

What is it like in France are they as wild as the Smoggy's about their soccer,I know in hockey France gets shelled 10 to 2 in most international games i have seen them play against us...not their game i guess.:bitchslap:

I got a right good kicking off of those fucking wankers (Oathead wern't with them then) because a fellow house mate (Spud) decided to chase a cousin of one of them with a bike chain two nights before hand, 10 of the cunts piled out of a tranny van and into our humble abode, Wah (who was out) ended up getting his room re painted by the bastards

Small world!
You must be a Kings Fan?....not too great this year though. I hear Wayne Gretzky has a son that should be up for draft in 2017 so there is still hope.

Aye, Kings it is, but Oilers are my team away from home, as long as they aren't playing the Kings (who are miserable) they're fine, although they missed out (just) on the playoffs themselves this year.
