Hi everyone! Just finished her up tonight! Got it for free and had to put out about $160.00 in parts. The parts are just the pickup bezels, They had to be made at a machine shop,.. because parts are no longer available for this guitar. This price included a vintage lipstick pickup that was missing at the neck position. Work done on the guitar was fret dress....and clean clean clean everything while it was apart. It was very difficult to install the pickups in this guitar. It took me about 4 hrs to do it,..and let me tell you,..I won't ever do another pickup install in a hollow body agian!! All in all,..it came out awesome,..and the tone is just amazing! I think I have a winner here. The guitar plays very well.
Here is a song I just wrote to try the guitar out on! The beginning guitar picking is the bridge pickup,..and the solo work is the neck pickup!
Thanks for checkin it out,..I'm proud of it!

I like hollow bodys,..I also have a 1963 first year Guild Starfire! She's a beauty!
It was my fathers,..he past away when I was 7 years old! I remember him playing it all the time,..but I wish he was here to jam with me!

I'll second that emotion. Quality Johnny! You are a talented bloke on and off the fretboard. Anything I try to fix up usually ends up worse :thumb:

Wow! First time I see a hollow (semi?) with those kind of PUīs and 21 frets! You sure should be proud of it like ya said. Same sunburst as my DOT, :D. I here ya about all the work involved installing whatever things in it,. I once thought of changing the pots on mine, and when I unscrewed that scratch plate thinking ok, should be like when you do the same on a strat, I said what?? Just those damn f-holes? The hell with it! LOL!! Itīs like raising one of those model ships masts inside a bottle, strings, tweezers and loads of patience. Sounded good too man, great playing! though with the effects I almost didnīt see a difference between the PUīs.

Dude that is so friggin cool man! Wow! I want one! I would love the specs on that. I could build one,..looks easy! Very nice man! I thought I was the only one with some weird shit.
Did ya check out the 63 Ibanez I posted a few weeks ago!? Also a cool guitar!
Anyway,..I sent ya an email about the pick guard. I really am very happy that you can do this for me. If ya want to email me you can @ TheSmanman@aol.com. I'll give you my fax number then! It would be so easy if could remove it and trace it on a piece of paper. I'll have one made at a local glass shop! It's made out of plexi glass,..is this right? Oh,. and also can you let me know how thick it is please! I'm so friggin excited about this man,..you don't even know how helpful this is to me! I'm sorry but can you take a close-up picture of the pickguard so I can see how it's mounted! I love this guitar and just want it as close as possible to original as I can get it!
Thank you so much man!
