Boy,..it sure looks real,..! how are you guys sure it's not? I'm not a Gibson fan,..but,..wow...nice guitar and it says Gibson on the head stock! How does he get away with this?,... Does he replace the the headstock overlay and sell it as a Gibson? $4500 and selling for $500!! Something very fishy going on here!!

the photo of the "gibson" headstock is real john, see how the shape of the tuners are different from the other "serial number" shot.

as if you would put such a classic guitar on a 1 day listing!

he's going for the quick buck!

jim.

Well if he dosen't get banned of there i hope someone takes it upon themselves to keep putting false bids in for his dodgy guitar, give the wanker the run around , but the thing is E-Bay are just as bad aswell cos they don't really seem to care about how someone sells there stuff on there, or indeed if its genuine :(
His still a rotten bastard aswell !! :chucks:

Nah Johnny, that's a photo of a real Gibson headstock. It's not from the same guitar. If you see the real Gibson logo here (taken from http://www.gibson.com), it does indeed look like a "u". But the guy is well dodgy using photos from different guitars to trick people. As Slicer says, Look at the different between the two machine heads in the different fotos.

You said it lippy!!

He should have had his account frozen until review and then if it was open fraud (which it was) his IP# should have been banned.Jim is right in saying that they care more about volume than FRAUD!!.Fuckers!!.
I reported it again as well to Ebay.Hopefully if they get enough complaints they will pull it off again and this time do the right thing.

You Know at this point i'am not sure who i'am more pissed off at, this Irish Jerk... or Ebay for not having more protocols in place to monitor an account which is wantonly perpetuating an open fraud for a second time!!.This is a billion dollar company and they? dont have contingency plans for monitorng an account they know has already been reported once.

This isn't a $5.00 Pez Despensor its fraud over the $500 amount.

well i reported him too earlier..feel uncomfortable with the grassing..loose lips aspect, but this slags trying to have a punter over...not gibson :maddance:

thing is ebay says it will look into it in the next 24hrs, but this POS only has it up for 1 day, and has hid the bidders so it looks as though hes gonna get a result. :upset:

feel uncomfortable with the grassing..loose lips aspect,

Why? I feel more uncomfortable that some poor bastard is gonna end up with a lump of shite! How would you feel if one of your kids came down stairs and said "Dad I've just won't a grand and a half's worth of Gibson Les Paul for £600", then you looked and it was this dickhead selling him a cheese grater?

I've just sent a report to ebay via the ex wife's account. I also sent the bastard some abuse too.
Hopefully they'll take note of the volume of complaints about this listing and fuck the cunt well over.

OK, ok,.ok!! Here we have (I think) a 1849 Gibson Les Paul custom! This is so rare that they only made one!!. I have covered the serial number for security reasons but as you can see in the picture the number 1 which relates to the only one ever made! I purchased this beautiful guitar in Derry, N.Ireland, United Kingdom about 2 weeks ago! I've had it for a pretty long time now!
I hate to have to let this special guitar go but sometimes in life you have to prioritise<--(I can't spell to good) and my family has to come first so unfortunately due to financial reasons I'm putting this up for auction. I hope the winning bidder gets as much joy out of it as I have. Ok,.I'll tell you why I'm selling it!,..and the reason is,... is that my balls are so friggin small,..that I can't see them anymore! So this is my reason,..ok I said it! But,.please don't laugh,..this is a common problem with assholes like me! Please don't let this one of a kind Gibson Les Paul Custom get away from you! You'll be so happy with it that you'll want another! Oh wait,..I forgot,.. it was a one of a kind! Well, maybe they have more of these? Check my ebay for up coming rare guitars from my garage! I have an original #1 Strat too! I'll be putting this one up shortly! (but for a lot of money) Thanks for checking this out! Bid with confidence and bid high,..because I'll out bid you every time! Starting bid is only $4600.00.
This doesn't include tax,.tags,.surcharges,..export tax,.fees of unforeseen problems and other fees based on the outcome of fees that are just there!!

Thank you!

Yeah,.I know what ya mean! Alota balls to do something like that! Ya know something,..if the person that won bid was smart,..they would sue his ass,..and then have the judge make him buy a real Custom shop Paul to give to the guy who won the fake! That would fix this guys ass for good,..wouldn't it!!?

Hehe! missed this cigarbox one,. I sure don´t trust E-bay for sure. All these web-based sites for purchasing used stuff, well,...I don´t know. It took me a long time to decide to buy something through the net, and deffinately not the E-bay route.

I've actually had more good experiences than bad with ebay ... but I guess I was just lucky so far then? (but I do tend to buy more from 'shops' than 2nd-hand from private sellers)

just my $0.02 ... not meant to be an authorative position.

Wow... I've never bought anything of E-Bay, and that doesn't inspire any confidence to do so.

I did however get a guitar from a magazine add once.

It was a Schecter Professional Artist Model 16OZ,
and this showed up...
