This is what I sent him!
Did you make a mistake on the asking price bro? If the asking price is $200,000,..you have got to be insane in the membrane! I could buy a house in Florida for that plus a 08 Gibson Les Paul!
Get on track man!

collectors have driven up the price of old Les Pauls.
Mainly due to bvttholes like this, who sell them at high prices
AND
has-beens like Billy Gibbons who has several hundred Les Pauls and hording them, just for their rarity ... thus driving up the price.
I know someone who sold his old Les Paul for $50G's and bought a townhouse around 10 years ago.

I mean,..who in their right mind would spend that kinda cash,..so,..you're talking with the case for this Les Paul,..it would be a BIG $206,000. Like I said,..I could buy a new top of the line Paul and a house in Florida and have some cash left over to have some beers and play my new Paul..!
It just isn't right bro! Yeah,..I take it, that it's an old guitar and worth something,..like around maybe 15 to 20gs but,..jeeze,..there's no guitar worth that. Even at 15 to 20gs,..I would never consider it,..ever!

The real question here is where is the guitar now?.Without the authentic original case for it.Did he sell it? and what Ahole would pay even close to his asking price for a re furbished les paul that was originaly a Gold top and was then re finished into a sunburst.Right there the price would drop drastically. if it would have been left to its original finish he could have got around 45K for it.
P.S and Johnny megabyte is right in saying that Billy Gibbons is a complete Butt Muncher to have bought so many original 50's lespauls......what a FN pig to buy up the market like that so that anyone who has a little bit of cash cant buy one at all without paying ungodley summs for it!.

The guitar is still sitting at his house,..because he got busted on so bad,..that he ended the auction. The guy is just a dickhead! I'm sure the same thing is going to happen with the $6000.00 case too! Ahole plain a simple man!.
Well on a better note,.I'm off to see Van Halen tonight. I hope it's a great show! Have a great weekend bro!

man that's expensive! my guitar teacher has a lefty '58 strat, and has had offers starting at around $100,000 (a price that the BUYER set, might i add). that is reasonable, though, because it's very hard to find a lefty '58 strat. but a les paul for $200,000?!? it better be able to give me a blowjob when i want it to if i'm paying that much for it.

That's funny man,..yeah right! Even at 100,000,...come on man,..it's just isn't worth that kind of money. Suppose ya bought it for 100,000,..would ya ever play it out live? Fuck,..i'd luck it up in a vault!

yeah, but considering it's a lefty model... hendrix couldn't even really find any lefty models to play... that's rare!
