This place (at least to me...) seems to be "dead" lately???
Is it just a figment of my imagination?

The site can sometimes hit an air pocket . I think its very important for members to input as much data as possible and to report news and gossip , no matter how insignificant it may seem , it can keep the site buzzing .
If people pop in and see no new headlines , they flick the page . Input from anybody benefits everybody :)

Very good point. I think all info/contributions are good. Whether it's interesting or not is subjective to the person receiving it, but to keep adding to the site what you feel is notable and relevant is what's important imo.

I would like to give BluesPlayer cudos for always finding topical news stories to post on here.He always has fresh news thats current, almost everyday!!.
recent exapmles of his post's are The Sammy Haggar superband,ACDC new album being recorded, etc.
And he is correct that to keep a site interesting you have to keep it current.
So thanks allot BP for your hard work and time spent posting these stories and events.

I admit that I haven't been participating much at all lately. Not really doing any recordings anymore right now, so I kind of just lost touch. I just came back in here last night after a couple months away and have noticed that it does seem pretty quiet.

I know I've been far too quiet, but work has been a real bitch...............just when it felt like things might be slowing down a bit, they announce that the new complex they've been building here for us in Vegas is ready to move into, lost about a week in the move, so back to being snowed under..........ah well.................at least I'm working, and the new buildiing is just 2 miles from my house, so gas prices aren't pissing me off quite as bad as they were............................anyway to get back on track, I do try to pop in frequently, and add something only if I feel it's relevant.

Well i think activity comes and go's, the weather is lovely atm, and maybe some of the regulars have other things on their plates atm, sometimes thats enough to cause a lowering of activity, but there are still plenty of folks about, the quality in the mp3 forums is as high as ever in my opinion, regardless of who is or isn't posting there.
And if the forum is quiet......

My soundcard took a dirtnap. I havent been able to record anything. Also I dont have an amp so thats the only way I can practice too. Been a bummer. Going to cost about $250 for a new one. Im working on it. Also started a new job a few weeks ago. It's been taking up al lot of my time. I still pop in every day to see whats going on. Hope to be back up an recording this month. :punkgtr:
